Anyone know what inspired these lyrics?

They dont seem very... worshipful, or glorifying to God... they dont even seem Christian???

I was listening to Access:D and I heard the lyrics, and I was like "what?"

I'm in love with a girl,
Everybody seems to know.
I'll sing it loud,
Sing it 'cos I'm feeling proud of, Love.
Oh yeah, this is love.

You take me away to another place,
You show me a way to a higher grace.
You take me away to another place,
I'm seeing it all with a happy face.

She can walk on the waves,
Crashing through my own desire.
Swing and sway,
Dance until my demons fly away.
This is love, this is love.

Any feedback would be appreciated :)

God Bless, metal.

2 things:
1] Love comes from God, cuz God is Love
2] if he feel that way for his girl ...can you imagine how much more Christ loves us and how he "walks on the waves crashing through" our own selfish desires, until we see he's all that's left standing still and true.

..there's some extra thoughts on that for ya.

Good question - I've wondered about that song too. A lot of the stuff from Audio Lessonover? was effectively secular music - ie: it wasn't about God at all - but it's been written by Christians from a Christian perspective...which is something I think there needs to be more of. So I don't get upset when they 'stray' from worship music, 'cos there are other issues which can be addressed by music - as long as the band stay with their focus on Godly stuff. Having said all that, I was happy to hear on World Service that they've returned to more worship-y songs. Nothing beats a good bit of worship...

But that specific song with those specific words? Dunno. Same with 'Bicycle Gasoline', from the same album. I don't like either song enough to look further into it, to be honest!

yeah i wondered the same thing about the Audio Lessonover album. but i downloaded some of the videos which i think are quite good. (i got them from the official delirious? website) but i think that if quite a few non-christians like the songs then it's ok. music is one of the best ways to minister to the youths of today lol!
