Should people quit their jobs?True, and an equally simply understanding of fallacies would show that some yes or no questions are not as simple as yes or no, they're fallacies. It's actually called plurium interrogationum or many questions.

others have asked should we quit our jobs ..? of course the answer is no AND yes .
no if the lord didn't tell you to and Yes if the lord did tell you to .
as both are a matter of obedience.
my wife has just resigned from her job for that very reason as the lord was speaking to us about just that very thing ..she eramed more them I so its a 56-58% cut in income and i the natural we will have enough to buy some food but if any other unexpected cost arrives .. the lord will provide because in the natural we don't have it -but we have him

Some people have quit their jobs because they were asked to do things that went against who they were, some people quit their jobs because they're lazy so people don't even get a job because they rely on handouts. First one, sure, they have to look themselves in the mirror second no third they need to go get a job. Not a yes or no question.

Want to test this? I'll go to work tomorrow, you stay home and pray, and see who gets paid. Well, you may be on salary, but you get my point. Otherwise the law of sowing and reaping is actually the law of praying and reaping.
Now if God tells you to sure, but I'm willing to bet God has told less people to quit their jobs than they think as God has already said we must provide for our families and a wise man leaves a legacy for his children. But when it becomes "God told me" than any argument is an argument against God.
And please note, I am not saying this is your case, I don't know. How you provide and what happens with your family will play that out.

he began an orphanage .. he never told any "man " of his need . but went in private to pray and without fail god provided money to pay bills ,food to feed the children .. he effectively "stayed in his room and prayed ..." when the need was greatest .
we must obey God first .. is it good to provide for our family .yes of course .. but it is even better to obey God .for he said if you give up mother father wife brother sister child .. you will regain them and more in his kingdom.. so we see that while in the natural world there are goof and proper principles ..in God there are better and eternal ones . after all -he was not joking when he said " how much more will your father in heaven clothe and feed you ... "
and he also said by the holy Spirit , be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication let your requests be made known unto God .. so we cannot ever suggest that one who cats all their faith in the lord is in error to do so . we cannot condemn them for their faith based on our own personal lack of it .

actually i said no such thing .. have a scroll back .You seem to say that getting a job, or protecting your family by any means, is not obeying God. God has said it so if He wants to change that, He can. So listen to God, don't be lazy, go to work, protect your family within the laws of the land. That is in fact listening to God.
Want to know something else? He also said to live your convictions, and preach the word. But you don't seem to want to live that either.
