Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

 • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
 • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Debate....

Variation within a Kind (MAN-kind) ;)

Nice play on words.. ;)

now you must give a specific scientific definition for 'kind' and stick with it.

heads up! we've been down this path several times... research and think carefully before you answer.

Good luck on your quest!

I know your hedge.

These are all word games.

The fact is there is ONE truth and regardless of ''terms'' such as ''kinds'', ''species'' or whatever else used, they do not change what happened.

I cannot prove my view and I openly admit it.
I know you cannot prove evolution theory as FACT, so you're in the same boat.

You may believe that because "kinds'' has no firm definition, that you have some loophole that proves creation wrong.

I say that is a very foolish stance as your eternity may well hang in the balance.

One truth? What is that, and can it be proven? Truth is something I seek.

And I agree with the above statement. Regardless of terms, it doesn't change the fact that species/kinds/whatever continuously change, adapt,(evolve) to their surroundings. Where and how life originated is still unproven and open to speculation.

You cannot prove your own view, yet you know mine can't be proven. I'll have to break open my Theasaurus and look up a polite term for this type of thinking. By the way, don't assume my views without asking or researching my previous threads. I haven't treated you this rudely. I expect if you truly follow Christ that kindness, respect, and good manners is within your grasp.

1. Again, don't be rude. I don't state what you believe. Don't state what I believe.
2. I seek truth. My mission here isn't about proving anything.
3. Foolish? What does scripture teach about using that word towards another?
4. Why are you concerned about my eternity?

What is your view of eternity?

One truth is that truth is always true. Truth can never be false and what is false can never be true. It can be proven because it is a dictionary defininition of truth. Even if you were to throw out the dictionary and write a new dictionary, then what is false still can never be true. Or we do not have a language and we can not have a conversation without agreeing on terms and what they mean.

I'd ask you the same question. Apparantly, you suffer short term memory loss. You made the claim that The Bible hasn't changed in 3500 years. I asked you what happened to the Apocrypha... .

What happened to the Apocrypha? I guess I would have to do a study on it. I was talking about the KJV of the Bible.

The point is, Moses had it all. Nothing has been added, God gave Moses the whole plan. Everyone after Moses just did a more compleat job of explaining things in more detail.

Maybe one way of looking at it is that Moses had the outline for the whole Bible, but the books and chapters still needed to be written according to the outline or pattern given to Moses.

One thing you see over and over again: It is written, it is written, it is written. Jesus came to fulfill what had already been written about Him.

A good part of the book of Ezekiel (about 8 chapters) talks about a temple in Jerusalem that has not even been built yet. It will be built during the 1000 year reign of Christ.

Exactly my point...
The Apocrypha (contained in earlier versions of the Bible) is missing from the KJV...

Why?
