• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's hard to keep doing exercise like that. First, when you do it, you're usually not mad, so you really don't get the point, so you don't do it. But then, when you are angry, you can't get access to it. Or if you actually do manage to start exercising, after a while you don't get angry as much, and you think you're ok, so you stop. It's crazy stuff.

ok, so only go when you are mad. why would you not have access to a quick run? Just get up and go outside!

side note: I don't actually run myself... haha, but it is still a fantastic idea.

I recently sent a hate note to my mom because i was really angry and I hurt her feelings really bad I dont know how to apologize to her. Im surprised she still cares about me after all the things Ive done. Sometimes i get so angry i tear everyone apart I feel like im going to explode then the anger could pass as quick as it came. how can i deal with this I dont want to hurt anyone else.

Luckie, rather than dealing with anger, deal with what makes you angry.

And there's no right or wrong way to say your sorry - the only way is to do it. Why not tell your Mom you love her dearly, but sometimes she makes you angry. Always be willing to express your love as well as other emotions. She will always care for you even after the thousand million more mistakes you'll make. Make sure she knows you care for her too even through the million more mistakes she'll make.
