Dealing with Lewd and Foolish Talk and Talkers?

While I know this is all too common with today's youth who have too much freedom, unlike the older generations who grew up in a much more regimentalized, controlled environment...

I find not only do I have a problem expressing the good news to such people, but to my dismay, even many Christians forsake the power of the hammer & fire of the Word of God for such foolishness.

What are your thoughts and tactics?

1. Ezekiel 16:43
   “‘Because you did not remember the days of your youth but enraged me with all these things, I will surely bring down on your head what you have done, declares the Sovereign LORD. Did you not add lewdness to all your other detestable practices?

I don't usually quote bible verse, but simply ask them to look into their heart and ask what Jesus would do. I know, that almost a cliche these days but it's so so true.
