  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The deal breaker in the text of mine you quoted is that I am ostrisized or compared to *bigots* or *racists* or other person generally hated because I have this belief.

I also stated it wouldn't bother me if someone did believe the official story, just as long as they don't get all O'Reilly on me, or otherwise participate in collective group hate.

Maybe too much to ask? Meh.
Yes, its a lot to ask for. I said a list and you gave me a paragraph.
Just give a random list like "If she has curly hair- major deal-breaker."

But, if you said that, I would pinch you. And, I wouldn't care if it hurt.:D

Being human is a major deal breaker for me. Personally, I'm holding out for when the sex robots hit the market.

I literally 'laughed out loud' at this! Thanks for the laugh-I needed that today!

One dealbreaker:
  • Not a Christian ("Christian" as in "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved", not "I go to church on Sundays!")

Everything else is fluff and can't be stood on with authority. Marital readiness is based on how mature I am and how ready to serve others I am. Not finding who best serves my selfish list of desires.

Ok, I'll play.

Curly or straight isn't a dealbreaker for me...although I'm not particularly fond of afros...but a real short, butchlike haircut on a woman would be a little bit of a turn off. I need long hair to play with and occassionally tug. :D. And I share the majority of men's opinion that long hair on a female is mmmm...feminine.

Don't get me wrong. I have a selfish list of desires. I'm just trying to remove as many as I can. That one involving being a certified stunt driver is really hard to give up though.

Yeah, but I don't want anything that can spring a leak or requires an air compressor. This is more what I had in mind:

Just a little something that's pleasant to look at, capable of interaction, and being a terminator that is capable of killing all my enemies. Not asking for a lot here. Though sadly this isn't the first time I've been jealous of a Glock 17.

^_^You are just toooo much proantirevolution. You are going to have to go to confession soon. ^_^

you got that right. :p
The honesty here is refreshing.

I don't think anyone (other than myself and others) realize how hard it is to buy batting gloves that actually fit. Or a baseball glove, for that matter. It's more difficult than people think. :p

Edit: I gotta add that it sucks going into the Wilson's Leather store to get a pair of leather gloves (for winter) and usually having to put my size on order because the 3 that they usually have are already sold. Oh man that makes me unhappy. :|

Not random at all. Crazy people should also be added to my list, along with racists.

My dad worked at the Pentagon the day it was hit (he survived, thank God). I spent much of the day not knowing if he was alive or dead, so it's kind of personal for me :p

I remember an old coworker of mine, who was Jewish, told me he took a girlfriend to see Schindler's List. After the movie she said, "I don't think that [the Holocaust] really happened." He ended the relationship right there.

doesn't seem cold to me. seems rather smart actually. Especially since, IIRC, you're going into missions, right? Wouldn't make much sense to get involved with an unbeliever.

Ministry, yes.

I argued with one of my sisters over it. She said it wasn't fair. I asked her how it would look if I preach Christ crucified and then the congregation goes up to my wife and she says, "Oh, I don't believe any of that is true." As you said, it wouldn't make much sense.

Unless she was talking about the film, which is indeed (as the book it was based on) a work of fiction. There really was a German businessman named Oskar Schindler, but that's were the historical accuracy ends.

There's a great deal of difference between the evidence for the Holocaust and the evidence for the *government's version* of 911. A huge chasm, in fact. A huge difference in technology with regards to animation within video, as well, and the speed with which it can be produced.
