What day to day evidence can I look for to change my mind about God's existence? By that, I mean the things that you see every day that reinforce your belief in God. So far, I've not seen any. Just wondering what to keep an eye out for.

Well... God is not a Genie in the sky.
Blessing....often follows obedience.

You have to start with your sin.
You have to recognize that you have sinned against a Holy God.

Then....you have to see what God says about your sin.

God is amazing. I see Him all the time.
His promises are amazing.
Never once has he not kept his promises...

sin keeps us separate from God. The bible says sin brings death. sin and death is one evidence for me of God, because He is the answer to sin and death, why does evil rule? it doesn't. I find hope in God, in Jesus rising from the dead and offering forgiveness of sins and eternal life to those who follow Him and His ways biblically and with His Spirit. I am thankful for Him changing me from being evil to seeking love of Him and others rightly and not just my selfishness. He can also clean over burdened consciences, I used to be full of guilt, I was violent person, been arrested, etc, Jesus has taken away that heavy burden and changed me so much, I am very thankful for new life after sin and death. He gives life even after sin and death. I encourage to read New Testament to get to know Him more. God bless

You're looking for examples of how God works in our daily lives?

Okay, here's a recent one. I logged in to CF this morning, and instead of hitting "control panel" like I usually do to find my subscribed threads, I heard in my head to hit the "latest" link.

I went there, and found a discussion on something I was professionally trained in, but the thread so far was full of random opinions; the person really needed concrete information before making a decision.

It's not like I saved the day, but God knew who needed what and made a quick connection. Task completed.

These things happen all day long. My Christian life is not waiting decades from one major miracle to the next, but constantly loaded with these tiny confirmations and networkings.

So, I have to obey something I don't believe in, before I can see evidence for it?

You have to start with your sin.
You have to recognize that you have sinned against a Holy God.

Then....you have to see what God says about your sin.

But that's not really evidence...sin doesn't even exist if God doesn't. God would be evidence for sin, not the other way around, right?

God is amazing. I see Him all the time.
His promises are amazing.
Never once has he not kept his promises...

How do you see him? What kind of promises is He making you?

You wake up....

Each day is a gift.. the day itself is Gods gift to you..

That has always been a great place for me to start....

God Bless

Key.

Thank you for understanding my question! But a new day could also be explained by any other creator god, or be explained by scientific means.

God isn't necessary for this to take place. It sounds to me more like you decided to go to "latest" and your deciscion payed off.

Dear Deiphage, you had some good replies, and I too, know that God/Jesus is with me day and night. How do I know? I have asked Him into my heart, and now He is my Friend and my Teacher. He taught me to love, to care, and to pray to God, my Father above. He took my fears and gave to me His Joys, He took my lonely hours and days, and gave to me His Peace. He even died for me, and now I will live for Him, He is my Saviour and my King, and I ask Him daily to walk by my side. I just know, Deiphage, Christianity is a personal relationship with Christ, my Redeemer, He knows my every thought, my every wish, and I thank Him. I say this humbly and lovingly, Deiphage. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.

Is your question if God exists, or which god exists? If you view a new day as merely the sun rising, you can find a scientific explanation, but if you define it as life, science has no explanation. If it did, they would be creating life. Laboratory experiments with cloning, mutating etc. are not creating life, only effecting it.

Science is actually looking to create life through chemical means. Fun.

And my question is what evidence do you see that verifies that the Christian God exists, and that the Bible is true?

Science has been attempting that for decades, and they are no closer now than at the beginning, nor will they ever be.

I understood your question, but my question is what you would consider evidence...miracles aside, because they are not day to day events with any particular person?

Just because something takes a long while to discover doesn't mean that it never will be discovered. You never know...;)

I want something that anyone can go out and see that could make me believe.

Nobody can say or tell you anything that would make you believe. Considering the nature of the 3 threads that you have posted, currently at the top of this forum's menu, it appears that you are less concerned about believing in God, than in justifying your current beliefs. That is not so bad, because it at least causes you to think, and by that, you may find your own evidence, and that is what really matters.

EDIT: Along these lines, I will offer one thought for you to consider...if there were no God, and everything that is just happened, how would you explain how mankind has become a society, with morals of a sort, instead of a bunch of animals preying on one another? Obviously, people do prey on one another at times, but for the most part, they do not. BTW, the question is rhetorical, because I could anticipate your possible answers now.

Deiphage, you asked, and people answered kindly, but you are ripping the anwers apart. Please remember that we are people, not just posts on a page or an encyclopedia of facts. If you want answers, open your mind a little. Otherwise, don't bother to ask.

Thank you for understanding my question! But a new day could also be explained by any other creator god, or be explained by scientific means.

The fact that you survive each day, live to 80 or die at 8, can not be explained, it falls under the category of "Random Unexplainable Phenomena" in the sense we can not, nor could we ever predict the life of a single human. However, the law of averages, predicts the life expectancy of a vast number of humans, this is what life insurance is based upon, vast numbers, however each insured person, lives longer, by long they live. IE: If you are 18, you are expected to die at 45, if you are 35 you are expected to die at 65, etc.

However, your chance not to die today, is still just a random guess, science will not try to explain it, because there are too many factors that are involved.

In this sense, each day you live, is a Gift to you by God, as you are neither promised it, nor should you expect it, but, at the same time we take each day for granted, because we have had so many before it, and believe we will have so many after it.

This is a lie that we live in, a lie we tell ourselves, that we will see tomorrow, because we have seen so many yesterdays.

In this sense, science is not your friend.

However, here is something else that makes my day, when I wake up, the first person I see is my wife, and after many years of marriage, I still love her, and she still loves me, and each day I know I am blessed to have found such a mate as her in my life, that was not just random chance.

Maybe, if the day itself is not enough for you, then the people that are there with you each day, might be. Do you think your very life, your friends, or anything around you, is just "Expected" or are you blessed to have what you have?

God Bless

Key.
