CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The difference between True Wisdom and a Fool.
For the most part the Bible talks about one who is neat and tidy - and also ready.
Whereas the Fool looks like these things, but if you listen or look closely - she is none of those things at all. Proverbs 9:13-18

In reading Proverbs 9, this verse stood out for me:

11 “For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.”

This is a promise that one who desires wisdom and seeks it like treasure, will be granted it, and along with wisdom, they will be blessed with a long and blessed life.

me too!

This verse is soooooo profound...it encapsulates what God finds righteous. It is repeated through God's Word, for emphasis, for instance in the book of Job, and throughout Proverbs, etc.

God DELIGHTS in those who "fear" Him (have a reverential trust in Him and a love for Him). It is written that a Godly "fear" of the Lord is akin to "armor" against sin, so to speak.

It's a precious verse.

Proverbs 9:6, at this moment, with the definition of life, as used there, to me being, with God, rather than not with God, after our earthly life is over.

Sorry. That is the way I also translate, the word life, in some passages of The Bible.

Death to me in some Biblical passages, is being alive still after this earthly life, but not being with God.

Makes you wonder how many today really fear the LORD?

Do we think too highly of ourselves that we don't fear him enough?

The Adversary is said to have been given all the beauty and intelligence one could have,

Yet he did not fear the LORD and knows of his coming punishment, and yet AFAWK he never repended.

That is why I believe Solomon's Father, David was called a man after Gods own heart, even though he sinned,
he always repented, he had a contrite heart and that's what the LORD wants, he knows we are human, but
in our fear or respect of him we fail and we should repent of it.

That is soooooo true. The thinking too highly of ourselves is akin to the adversary, and the very thing that took him down, and the very thing that is our own demise.

It's deadly.

And amen about David. This is why i love David. Yes, he sinned, and rather horribly, YET he KNEW WHO top go to about it, and he DID!
