What is sooooo precious about this promise from God, is that, even if the child grows older, and turns from what he has been diligently taught, just as in the Prodigal Son, he WILL return to what his feet were firmly planted on, earlier. It's as if God has planted seeds deeep in his heart, spirit, and mind, that had taken root, and eventually turn the older child's heart and mind a'right. God IS faithful. He will turn the hearts of the child home again.
so true, my son returned to the Lord,
now continuing in prayer for my daughter, my other dear prodigal,
that is amazing, I don't think that a lot of people know that they will pay for their sinsProverbs 22:
"Rob not the poor, because he is poor: neither oppress the afflicted in the gate: For the LORD will plead their cause, and spoil the soul of those that spoiled them." ~Proverbs 22:22-23
that is amazing, I don't think that a lot of people know that they will pay for their sins
aaahhh! that is such a scary picture! It seems that many are oblivious to it. It's like they're asleep, on a boat, rapidly approaching a waterfall.
aaahhh! that is such a scary picture!
loving favor
Proverbs 22New King James Version (NKJV)
22 A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
Loving favor rather than silver and gold
that is lovely...Proverbs 22:
Precious promise. God rains down blessings on the generous-hearted and He grants them extraordinary favor.
Precious.
that is lovely...
verse one is special too
Proverbs 22:
This is most powerful, and a "key" to pleasing God and blessing His very heart. And that is to "fear" Him as we should, with all our hearts. In this "fear of the Lord", we find that it means having a "tender" heart towards Him and a "sensitivity" to what pleases Him, and offends Him, and under it all, there is a deep deep yearning to "bless" Him, in ALL things. This is why God called David a "man after His own heart", and the "apple of His eye". it is because David had a "tender" heart for God, and that is, bottom line, because He "feared" Him.
The bottom line, is, that there can be no genuine "humility" without a "fear of the Lord".
that is lovely and gives such an insight into the heart of God.
I found this 'humility is treasured by God' continuing your thoughts
Proverbs 22:
The key.
"By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life." ~Pro 22:4
such a good verse from Isaiah!
