Proverbs 10:
This is just so delightful, that it bears repeating.....makes ya' smile from the inside, out. My mind tends to meditate on just how powerful God's joy is, as we merely get a "taste" of it for now, and THAT alone, is quite powerful. To think of God SINGING and REJOICING over us, is waaaaaaaay more than we can, in our present "finite-ness", fathom.
It's as if yes, we see through a glass darkly, right now, but we WILL see FULLY and experience FULLY God, in ALL His glorious joy and celebration.
And it will never ever end.
Ever.
"For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known." I Corinthians 13:12
Our hope really DOES bring joy, doesn't it?
Proverbs 10:2
"Ill gotten gains do not profit,
but righteousness delivers from death."
NASB
If righteousness delivers from death, then not being righteous brings death. And it's happening to a friend of mine right now.
He's being wrongfully sued for 85,000$. This is indeed a form of stealing and would be an ill-gotten gain. The devil's money.
And how has not being righteous brought death? My friend has suffered a break-down.
How sad that some follow the ways of satan.
How happy are we that know God and live according to His ways. Peace and joy follow...
Hebrews 12:14
New International Version
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
yes...God is our security...Proverbs 10:
Safe and secure.
God IS our Security, isn't He?
All that we have and WILL have, abides with HIM, doesn't it? He safeguards ALL things, and as it is written, that eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, ALL that God has for those who love Him.
It is tragic, however, if the wicked do NOT "wake-up" from their deadly "slumber" as they head downstream faster and faster towards that precipice of sure destruction.
Tragic.
Amen sister. Who can hide from God?Proverbs 10:
It behooves us to "watch our steps" carefully and the "paths" that we choose. It is written that God Himself sees all of our steps and the directions that we choose, for nothing is "hidden" from Him. When we walk "amiss" we will be "found out" and we will be "shamed".

Amen sister. Who can hide from God?
"The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot" (Pro 10:7 KJV).
It is just shy of a few months that my dear wife has been absent from the body, present with the Lord. Verses like this from Proverbs bring my thoughts immediately to her and the 42 years we spent together on this earth walking together with the Lord. Yes, her memory is blessed. As the rose I was given on the night of her passing says, "When a loved one becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure."
HOW TO SPEND THE DASH
I read of a man who stood to speak
at the funeral of a friend.
he referred to the dates on her tombstone
from the beginning....to the end.
He noted that first came the date of her birth
and spoke of the following date with tears,
but he said what mattered the most of all
was the dash between those years.
For the dash represents all the time
that she spent alive on earth......
and now only those who loved her
know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own;
the cars...the house...the cash.
what matters is how we live and love
and how we spend our dash.
So think about this long and hard
are there things you'd like to change?
for you never know how much time is left.
(you could be at "dash mid-range.")
If we could just slow down enough
to consider what's true and real,
and always try to understand
the way other people feel.
And be less quick to anger,
and show appreciation more
and love the people in our lives
like we've never loved before.
If we treat each other with respect,
and more often wear a smile.......
remembering that this special dash
might only last a little while.
So, when your eulogy's being read
with your life's actions to rehash.....
would you be proud of the things they say
about how you spent your DASH?
To the world you may be one person,
But to one person you may be the world!

Wow! Don't know how I let that typo slip through. It hasn't been just a few months, it'll be two years in April. Still, it only feels like yesterday.
But what sustains me is the absolute 100% knowledge that I will see her again. We sorry not as others which have no hope! I can't imagine what it must be like to see goodbye to a loved one in death and not knowing if you'll ever meet again. Well, Jesus says we will!
