Lyle, I have read almost everything he has written, even his novel, The Archon Conspiracy. His books are very poorly researched. His is rabidly anti-Catholic and slanders them in his books. Even his recent book against Calvinism is full of errors, and heaven knows I am no Calvinist and would appreciate a good book on that topic.

He is elderly now, which is why he sounds so feeble. Despite everything, I think Dave loves God. His is an opinionated man whose opinions, unfortunately, are based on self-imposed ignorance. If he did some genuine research his belief system would be upset and he doesn't want that to happen because he cherishes his belief system. So, he does shallow research and gets to keep his Evangelicalism intact. Pray for him!

His speech has always annoyed me too, so I am glad you brought it up so it could be explained. I'm not so glad that it reminds me of my besetting sin (of many) of being judgemental

xenia brings up a good point that none of use are judging Dave's relationship with God, or whether he will be saved, that is for God alone. His theology and approach to the same is what we have issue with.

From my understanding, and I hope I am wrong but I dont think I am, it is a Protestant Mockery of the Catholic Mass.

I just think it's neat when evangelical preachers acknowlege the existence of Orthodoxy. I get SOOOOO tired of hearing about Catholic vs. Protestant, as if we Orthodox don't exist.

Well, I owuld tack myself up with him and say I too am almost anti-Catholic.. No, I do not hate Catholics.. I just disagree with the teaches of the overall Catholic Church (Not to cause personal conflicts.. For I do have good friends that are catholic).. And my disagreements i have brought out of the Bible, and not some else's books.. Just for the note

I have to say I have not read all of his books.. But I do own all of them (And some that haven't come out yet).. The best that I've seen are such as In Defense of the Faith, An Urgant Call to a Serious Faith, and such Apologetic books (But I tend to favor es, my grandmother has been working with him since before he started his ministry.. So I get all of the books before they offically come out...

But if you sat down and talked with him, I think many of you would change your minds (The others wqould just lie about it ).. I know his speech is declining.. But if you listen to him speak, he has a WEALTH of knowledge about the word of God.. Though I don't agree with his stance on the end-times. So i do understand where you're coming from...
