lilray the fish tacos are great. I just can't stop for one. Pacifico was good too. I found all this stuff (food and brew within about 5 miles from home)

Mom has some very good days and some bad ones. She asked me how dad is doing, dad died in 1991. In the next breath she ask me about fencing. I just started fencing about 8 or 9 months ago. So you see it just depends.

Brother on the other hand is giving limited support. Wants to know everything but wants to be away from it. Has very "important" things to do, like showing a VW (that his and my newphew god) at a car show or trying to find more money to buy car parts. So his support will be limited to him throwing a tamtrum every now a then.

I am working on another thread to see if I can upset someone, stay tune details at 11:00

Sheesh...My air conditioning went out and they put this flimsy box unit in. Well, my neighborhood is not safe, so having the window open isn't good. I went to spend the entire weekend with my parents and gradmother. Finally tonight I will be able to sleep at my own place. The air is still not fixed though. They are promising it will be fixed by tomorrow, but who knows with these things. It's been a huge hassle, especially since I had to take off a day at my internship, only to find out they can't really fix it until tomorrow. I have nine hours I still have to make up and 2 projects due at the end of the week. It's going to be a hectic week, but after I found out that I couldn't get my air fixed today I went shopping a little :) So, no dates this weekend! Maybe next weekend will prove more dateful ;) I'm exhausted!

Living, I don't even have A/C. I envy you right now. I forgot to crack my bedroom window this morning and it's sweltering in here.

And yes, Tenor, I have been sleeping a little better- about 5 hours on average. But I quit taking that medication- it was really messing with my head. :|

It's been so good having my parents in town. Kinda bittersweet though because they came into town to see my brother off.. he's getting deployed to Iraq this weekend. I'm trying to keep my spirits up for him but I've been so bummed. :sigh: I know it's all a part of God's plan, but they said he'd be gone for at least a year - maybe 2. That's such a long time. Anybody else have family that's been deployed or is going to be deployed?.. sorry if this is in the wrong thread :sorry: ??!?!

One of my friends in the USAF. I haven't seen him in years now. He did some time in Iraq. I've been home, at my parents, for probably 8 or 9 months of the last five years. Does that count?:D I can't say that I was deployed though. It had more to do with school and fishing then anything else.

The Columbia Brewery makes Kokanee beer. As far as I know, you would have to come up to Canada to get it.

I may have started a thread for the military family members somewhere on CF. I don't remember which one though. It has to be tough to have your bro going off to Iraq. I'd be pretty upset if my bro was going. I have a friend over there right now though. What branch is your bro in? Do you know what location he will be at? My friend has some access to emails and instant messenger and I think he gets calls every now and then with a phone card. Be sure to send your brother a care package with stuff he'll need over there and fun stuff as well! The guys over there love getting letters, emails, and care packages...hearing from friends and family boosts morale and helps them get through. I know it will be hard for your bro to be away, but pray that God will draw close to him and that God will let his experience there be a way for him to serve Him. I have a thread that has a bunch of tips about care packages over in The Military forum. Check that forum out...lots of helpful stuff over there. :) God bless you and I pray He will give you peace about your bro being in Iraq.

Thank you so much, Living! Your post was such a blessing to me. I don’t usually freak out over stuff but I’m kinda freaking out over it... I can't imagine what he'll have to face and what could happen to him. My brother signed up as a way to pay for college.. it never occurred to me I could lose him. :( I keep thinking the worst... gotta stop that.

He’s in the National Guard reserves. Just got out of bootcamp in December. He’ll be in the infantry over there, which freaks me out more. He was supposed to start school this fall. I’m definitely going to look for that thread. Thank you again!

How's this for pathetic....

Would anyone like to go out on a virtual date with me? :D We can pretend to eat pastries and drink virtual herbal tea. Ok, I'll behave now. :sorry:

I did get a chance to go to the bookstore and take some time off, it was nice. I was content. I know that sounds dull to most but it's one of my favorite things to do.
