Daniel 3

The book of Daniel takes place in Babylon during the years of captivity though it probably begins with the first deportation. There are 4 main Hebrews in this book - Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, the last four most people know by their Babylonian names they were given. Anyway, question is - where is Daniel in chapter 3? It's interesting to note that he is in every chapter but that one. I've heard speculations as to why but not fully settled on any yet. We may ever know for sure but I am interested in what you think about this.
