You don't pay too much attention to your own posts, why should I?
Once again, you said that alma always meant virgin. I showed you that that was not so. But there is a word that always means virgin and the writer of Isaiah did not use it.
Yes, an alma may be a virgin, but then she may not be. Why didn't the writer of Isaiah use the word that he used five other times in the same book?
Wrong, the Tyre prophesy clearly states that Nebuchadnezzar will destroy Tyre so that is will never be found again. He failed. Tyre is still exactly where it always was.
A simple map debunks the Tyre prophecy.
Seriously Christians are supposed to be honest. Are you trying to claim that Tyre cannot be found on a map?

No it doesn't. Read the passage carefully.
Though the original city had been "made desolate" by Nebuchadnezzar as predicted by Ezekiel, the balance of the prophecy had not been fulfilled. Ezekiel (Ch. 26) had declared:
"They shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise; and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses; and they shall lay thy stones, thy timber, and thy dust in the midst of the water ... I (God) will make thee like the top of a rock; thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more ... I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee" (vv. 12, 14,19).
None of this was accomplished by Nebuchadnezzar, though he destroyed the original city. The prophecy spoke of an unnamed power as "they shall do it." History reveals that this was Alexander the Great and his Grecian warriors.
The Amazing Witness of Fulfilling Bible Prophecy
The pronoun changes from singular (he) to plural (they). Do you see that?
It means that other armies willl finally put it in ruins. Such as Alexander the Great.
If Tyre didn't exist today, then why are there fish nets spread on the ruins of Tyre? Tyre is in ruins today and no one is building on the ruins.
This prophecy is fulfilled!! You really need to stop trying so hard to find error in the Bible. It is innerant.
Of course its on the map..they are honest with the discoveries and studies they do of ancient texts.

I agree. That is why I do not associate Christianity with the vile acts of nommies in history. Nominal believers who believe in name only. I guess the bible nailed it when it labeled false religion harlots.
OK. Guess who died out?

How many times do I need to tell you that the Bible and it's stories are not mine?
Why don't you let me know which Jews disagree with their Passovers and language meanings.
IT IS AND CAN BE translated as a Virgin.
Please give me the Jews that disagree with the Exodus. You will need to give me evidence of ALMOST ALL OF THEM!
Bible stories are not fantasy. Stop labeling as such.
What the heck I'm supposed to know what you are saying with your bizarre phrases?
No part of the prophecy was fulfilled.
Nebby never even entered into the city.
Tyre is not in ruins today. There are ruins on part of Tyre, that does not mean the whole place is in ruins. By your standards Rome is in ruins.
And no, Alex was not part of the prophecy. That is a hopelessly lame claim.
Really? NO PART OF THE PROPHECY was fulfilled. You really think that? After looking at the history of Tyre you really don't believe that? Simple, evident, easy prophecy and you deny it happened! Amazing.
All claims made by the Bible and it's prophecies are lame to you.
You really try too hard to deny the simple facts.
Really. So why doesn't it explicitly say that other armies will do so? Why isn't Alexander specifically mentioned?
Prophecies have to be specific, otherwise they're not prophecies.
THat's just it, Tyre exists today. The current city is built exactly where Tyre of old was built. The fact that some parts of the ruins are in water now doesn't mean Tyre was never rebuilt.
No it isn't, and you need to stop trying to hard to make the vague predictions of the Bible that have failed into something that sounds true with a lot of contorted logic, word redefinitions, and reading into words more than they say (eg, thinking that "they" means the prophecy actually predicted Alexander would sack Tyre as well).
This is why non-believers remain non-believers. You make it sound like you have to set aside logic, reason, and evidence in order to believe.
Some of the bible prophecies, you have to admit, are pretty generalized statements. "There shall be those that doubt the bible", hmm, some people are going to have trouble believing that all of humanity originated from two people who lived to be 900 years old and were tricked by a talking serpent? Yeah, that is so amazing, you'd think any logical person would believe that right on the spot, just because a book says it(sarcasm over). Most of the biblical prophecies that aren't immediately fulfilled within the book within the bible are very generalized statements like that.
I already have.....go back and read the relevant post. Or better still, do as I did and conduct some research for yourself...it's not hard to find...
Because it can be used that way does not mean that it is always used that way...! Not all virgins are young women and not all young women are virgins.....'almah' simply means a young woman of marriageable age...it does not come with a guarantee that she won't be 'used goods'.....
Don't be lazy....do as I did and search.............failing that, go back to the post where I referenced the most well-known of them....
Yes they are....in the same vein as the Greek myths, Lord of the Rings and Grimms Fairy Tales......
You never gave me links to explain that most of the Jews don't believe in the Exodus and don't have multiple Passovers. (hmm it's April, Passover Time!!)
But MOST of them, I have a hard time believing that. Sorry.
They meant any army will destroy Tyre. It doesn't say who. Watching through history, we have Alexander the Great going in and destroying this city, plus many others from around the area such as the Greeks.
The Bible is more complicated than meets the eye. It has been translated into many different languages, it is best to look at the original language and that would be Hebrew.
Sure it did.
Actually it was quite specific who would destroy Tyre. It was to be Nebby. And there is a reason that you cannot extend it to Alexander the Great. If you look at the history of Tyre it was attacked and beaten quite often. Even before the prophecy. They were a small town with a source of riches that other towns could not match. That was the main reason that they developed the defenses that they had. It is not a prophesy of any sort to claim that a city in the middle East would be conquered some day. I have illustrated this with my "you will see a red car" prophesy. If I made such a prophecy and you saw a red car you would not be amazed. Red is one of the most popular car colors so of course you are going to see a red car.
You are trying to lower this prophecy to a "you will see a red car" type of prophecy.
Why is it a threat?
This is a lame excuse and if looked at in the original Hebrew would not help your cause.

Non believers stay nonbelievers because despite the evidence, they will deny God anyway. Non-believers and skeptics try to find as many errors in the Bible as possible to tear it down. Why? Because they know there is power in this Book and authority.
