Its an action "clicky" game that you click and click and click and click and click, and then try to convince the world its an RPG.

I doubt JMR ever played the game if that is his oppion.

yes there is alot of clicking involved.

it all depends on what you want to do with the game, i myself like the PVP (player vs Player) element, so the whole point of leveling up and attaining gear was so i could become better in dueling or slaying other players. which leads to alot of stratigies and so forth. because you have to begin to balance yourself against 7 other players (in the game) with 7 classes and atleast 3-5 different ways each of these classes are played.

PVM (play vs monster) also has some strategy(not as much as PVP IMO) because you have to cope with killing multi monsters (usually at once), which has anywhere from 2-10X your HPs also you have to deal with various things like resist, ranged attacks, melee attacks. making sure your skills and equipment are up to par so you can kill a monster.

but yes, I have heard it described by many as a click-fest

I played D2 a lot since it came out. It's one of the only games that I have kept coming back to. I wonder where D3 is? *sigh*

It's a click-fest, but to be fair, Blizzard never claimed it was an RPG. It does have more strategy than D1.

Tons of improvements to Diablo 1 (which was great at the time). I played it for a long, long time. Finally stopped playing a little before the v1.1 patch came out, I tried playing again a little while ago and its much tougher now Overall it was a really fun game for a long time ... if you could ignore the idiots / spammers / cheaters that play

Whenever I played D2 I'd always play on closed Bnet to avoid all the hax0rs. Heh, there were moments where my friends and I had to force one another to stop playing it because we were playing it too much!
