significant flooding and flash flooding is occuring over a really large area of northern Australia and coming down the coast into the north eastern parts of New South Wales.

Mass evacuations are currently occuring, about 6000 people in one area were evacuated because of flooding.

They expect the situation to worsen in the next 12-18 hours

There has being about 40 people that got stuck on roofs of there houses because of flooding

As far as im aware only one injury has occurred over the past few days with a wall collapse most people are pretty sensible as this is a fairly common thing to happen around this time of year.

Theres quite a bit of damage to houses and boats now that they have being able to do assessments.

One of the pumps is working in the area that pumps clean water so they are able to get enough clean water out now.

The next major issue is fuel shortage because they cant get the fuel tanks in.

flooding is still a major problem in many towns and cities.

3 people have being confirmed dead as a result of the weather over the last week, 3 people are missing. Its amazing that thanks to all the warning systems out we have only had 3 deaths so thats one thing to be thankful for.

Flood waters are still peaking as the water flows down stream into some places and one of the towns is expecting a flood event that you are likely to only see once in a 100 years

Many thousands of homes and businesses have being badly damaged from the floods, so it will be a significant cost tp get places up and running again and many people due to cost of insurance dont have flood protection so will have to pay for things themselves.

continuing to pray Dan.... sorry to hear of the 3 deaths and how much damage the flooding has caused, yes glad there have not been more deaths, good to see an update, I have been saying a prayer most days since you mentioned the cyclones
