I now offer a new theme you can use on top of CF's "Modern" theme. It's also easy on the eyes, and the featured color is a pleasant sea green.

Yeah, it does look like one of the old Windows now that you mention it.That color scheme reminds me of the one that was in Windows 3.1;like it much better then the current black; but; no blue?

3/22/2016: CF appears to be deprecating the original standard theme and supporting only the Modern theme. I have added a bit of color to the CSS for the Modern theme, making various headers cobalt blue:

INSTALLATION:
1. Make sure your account is using the "Default" or "Modern" CF theme.
Click on your user name, then Preferences, and select the Default theme in the drop-down box. Save.
2. Install the free Stylish extension to your browser:
Chromium-based browsers (including Chrome): go here and click Install.
Firefox browser: go here and click Install
3. Install style sheet.
Go to my style sheet here and click Install.

I also like the bible/cross icon in the upper left corner better than the current church one.
Yes, I like the Bible/Cross logo better. The church building carries mixed connotations for many of us.
I don't see any inherent way to change themes any more. I guess it's you take what you're given.

With this theme I've begun to hide the new "featured threads" that some forums put at the top of their page, since I consider them a waste of prime screen space.
