  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Ok, maybe it was the beer talking, but I got to meet some lovely people on Saturday and had a chat to my friend afterwards and we discussed faith etc and whether there was anything I could pray for.

(see most people get into fights after a drink - I offer help, advice, love and support, share my faith and offer to pray!)

He mentioned about hoping it doesn't rain while he walks back home.

I just replied back saying it doesn't matter, it's God's rain and everything he does is beautiful and I nearly started crying.

Since starting the Church and growing in my faith, I have been walking home from the Church in all sorts of weather and none of it gets me down. Im looking out more, and anything and everything I see, I am in awe. It is beautiful and I thank God in my heart.

It's like you appreciate everything so much more. Nothing is bad anymore.

Am I just being weird?

I suppose its more nature, more than say things that happen at work or some social interactions which I do struggle with. But the beauty of nature, the distinction between night and day, the stars in the sky it's all a joy.

Oh I hear ya...I think that's not weird at all..God has absolutely beautiful creations....it's a wonder we don't cry more at them :pink:

Sound's like the Holy Spirit's conviction to me.

It's not about crying about the weather. It's a feeling of being overwhelmed at God's awesomeness and power, everything he has created is magnificent.

That's probably the closest I could describe the feeling.

The time when you step back and realise how wonderful everything is.

No. I think it's wonderful. I've heard about those experiences. It's just because you are close to God, you can see things... Keep staying close to Him.

No, its the faith-high alot of people get when they find God or Jesus or faith for the first time or after being "in the dark" for awhile.
unfortunately for some, that's just a temporary high and when life gets really hectic or frustrating, it goes away.

The challenge is to fuel your new faith with lots of prayer, bible and influence of other Christians with good advice.
If you need guidance, ask God, and he will provide those answers in the form of people and situations.
If you always turn to him and to your faith, then when things get difficult, you won't lose that good warm fuzzy feeling... or you might... but you'll get it back again.
:happyblush:

Now I would be careful about offering faith advice while under the influence... things might come out wrong and confuse people.
(I won't tell you don't ever be under the influence, because then I'd be a hypocrite....)
