Life is so hard right now......I've been diagnosed with a form of Chronic Depression, My best friend on CF killed himself, and my dog is dying. I'm constantly having thoughts of Suicide and Death, and I cut myself two days ago.....I cry myself to sleep almost every night. Is there anyone who can help me before the worst comes into reality?

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i can't offer much help but i'm pretty torn up as well if it helps that i can relate to you...
I understand your pain.. I lost a friend on here to suicide, my ferret who was like a son to me died of a brain tumor and constant seizures which was like acid on my soul to watch.. i'm very suicidal, i sometimes beat myself up in the head until i get dizzy, etc..
so just know i'm not going to kick you down if you want to talk because i fully understand.. i probably wouldn't be able to help you much though as i don't how to help others if i am hopeless myself...

i am so sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I am sorry to hear about your best friend too.
I know that everyone on this board is here for you..How about around your area? Anyone you can trust to talk about your problems..like a trusted adult, trusted pastor, etc? Both means of help might help you pull through this tough time and these tough thoughts.
Sometimes talking out your problems to people will help you cope with them.
I pray to God that you will be okay.

I suffer from depression; I have been in hospital several times, and used to self harm. I have found suicide hotlines help me through the hardest of times. I am still struggling, but getting through. Also, you can PM me anytime.

hey sis the best thing to think about is that death is going to happen, definately going to happen soon this i find great comfort in that this life will be over one day so keeping that in mind i dont worry about killing myself because god will do that for me i hope soon , life is hard for lots of people but dont give up yet and if you are young you still have lots to learn about knowing god too
because it takes time to get god to open up to you, pray and read the bible as much as you can and expect a reply from god, if you dont hear his voice yet take some time like 1 week of doing nothing but lying on your bed praying and reading no television and you will get a reply ,god needs to see you doing that for some time before he will start talking to you, for some reason, at least with me it was like that, ithink to just see that we are determined, realise also how hollywood has brainwashed you because nearly everyone is affected by it ,but always know that god is there and really is an accepting god who does care for you,that is a big thing for most people to actyally believe and know that god does love us is a big thing to know ,not to just believe the idea but to know.keep battlin soldier
