crush (kr¾sh) v. a. A usually temporary infatuation. b. The object of such an infatuation.

Ok, at some point or another, everyone has had at least one crush in their life. And with the recent matchmaking thread, I'm going out on a limb and saying that some matches have been fulfilled. :D Either on purpose or accident. What are some crushes you all have had in your lives? Anyone brave enough to mention a fellow mate here on the boards...if not too embarassed.

My last crush was way back in middle school on a cute red-haired girl in my class who was as dominant in French as I was.

Oh I always have a cruch on someone - I can't help it but they never work out the way that I want them to (hence I am still on the singles thread). I do have a crush at the moment but as it is a cruch there is not point mentioning it.

Here goes...

When I was in high school I had crushes on 4 teachers - I thought they were cute at the time...

I have also had crushes on 2 Priests (one was at my church but left in 2003 and the other is one I see at Youth Camps)...

I had a crush on a guy where I worked from January 04 - December 05...

Of course I've had crushes on different actors over the years...

Yes I do have a crush on someone on CF (but I'm not saying who :p )...

Yeah, I love the good feeling that a crush gives. I remember one of my first ones I sent a valentines day card to. Oh how it makes me smile now. He kept thwe card for a while after that )I know because our parents were friends through church and they talked about it). I used to love sending things for valentines day - just for fun. I would give random guys presents (sometimes I had a crush most of the time I didn't) just for fun. Oh them were the days ...

Ok, so I'm not the only one with a crush on CF. *wipes brow* Whew! Mum's the word though, I'm saying for everyone yeah? *laughs*

Definately so. I guess it is easy to have a crush on someone but hard to actually admit it. I guess we all still fear rejection. Funny though we can talk about a lot of personal things but that seems to be the one thing we can't be honest about.

That's an excellent point. The point of love, crushes, liking someone...and we get scared off like sheep. *baaaaaaaaaaah*

Yeh, crushes can be cool...but ya gotta watch out...

I once had a crush on one of my closest friends and yea, butterflies, and I'd swallow my chest whenever I was near her, which was all the time...we did a lot of things together...but she never liked me that way...and I got my heart stomped...

It's all good though...when the next crush came along I was ready to play along...and ya know what? I will again...yay me!

The only time I really think I've ever actually crushed was about two-ish years ago. A visiting missionary, not a whole lot older than myself and thoroughly dedicated to the Lord, spent much of the afternoon just being a goofball with the Sunday School kids, and when it was time to settle down he spoke gently and sat with them, prayed with them even about silly things, and softly sang with them. I was thoroughly, bowled-over impressed by both his nature - one most certainly of a humble leader - and chosen path in life. Sigh. I swooned. I do realize, now, though, that for my path he was simply an excellent model of character to seek in both myself and a future husband.

I had a crush my freshman year of college. I became friends with this guy on my floor, who was also part of a group that wanted to study to be teachers. He was a Christian, always reading his Bible, had a great sense of humor, good friend to everyone. And I developed the most major crush on him during the schoolyear. Needless to say, things didn't work out. But it's all good. Learning point in my life.
