No, they haven't. I need to explain that answer, though. If what you mean really is design, yes, that probably can be done. After all, the designs use circles, so a string and a lawnmower or a board or something like that might replicate the design. I could probably do it myself, given a little time, using a pen and paper.

But to replicate the 'crop circles' is something else. To make one of the very intricate designs, without leaving a trace to show how you got there and did your work minus any footprints or bending any of the crops that aren't part of the design, do it in a short time, and not be seen even when a camera is recording the scene...now, that's a different matter.

People have done it with success, with boards and ropes.

Additionally, patterns have been found that indicate copy-cat work, where incidents have spawned differing techniques in different areas of the country.

If somebody discovered debunking evidence....well.....it's just not that newsworthy. So why note it? Nobody likes a debunker.

What a ridiculous theory.

This is the way science thinks.

Say a legitimate supernatural event occurs -- (e.g., a crop circle done by a fallen angel).

1. If science can reproduce it themselves, then it wasn't a supernatural event.

2. If science can't reproduce it themselves, then they need further testing, and it wasn't a supernatural event.

That's why I asked a poster here if aliens could paint.

A demon paints something on a wall + a scientist paints the same thing = no supernatural event.

Look, that incident with the guys who made a circle in a field with string and a board made news UNTIL it was discovered that what they produced only looked in very a superficial way the same as the crop circles that been baffling everyone.

The crop circles that continued to be appearing thereafter were much more complicated and could not possibly be created in the way that the men had made their circle. But I've explained all that already.

Continuing to try to explain crop circles by referring to the men with a board is like explaining UFO's by saying that the military sends up weather balloons. It doesn't work as an explanation because there is so much more to the puzzle that remains unexplained and cannot possibly be answered by reference to weather balloons.

If that isn't done, the status of the matter is that there is no known explanation for the phenomenon.

the sources of "facts" were even mentally competent.

You are off the hook. You don't seem to understand the charges against you.
That your sources are not credible. Perhaps the investigators were the hoaxters themselves.

Films of crop circles being made are fakes, claims that the genetic make-up of the crop is changed or that the biology of the growth nodes is changed are either just mistaken or invented.

The BBC programme QI did an episode where they got some circle-makers to make one for them:

Here's an example that fooled the 'experts' (there's a better example somewhere, where a psychic turned up claiming she detected mysterious energies and auras while the circle-makers were explaining how they made it!):
Turned out to be an NVidia publicity stunt for their new chip.

How many people can double-check DNA? It's pretty expensive to check a story like that. Nobody really has $2000 to re-check DNA. (historic costs)

Been following the crop circle phenomenon since the outset more than 30 years ago, although I admittedly lost interest a decade or so ago. There is definitely a mysterious aspect, including other phenomena observed and photographed in association with the circles. Two things have always struck me: (1) to the best of my knowledge, we never find partially completed but abandoned circles because the human makers were surprised in mid-project; and (2) despite all of the eyes in the sky, from aircraft to satellites, to the best of my knowledge we have no aerial photographs of the supposed human makers at work. If the circles were all mundane human phenomena, I would think that fact would be far easier to expose than it has proved to be. I remember when old "Doug and Dave" surfaced 30 years ago as the supposed makers of the circles, how many uninformed idiots demonstrated the level of their knowledge by jumping on the Doug and Dave bandwagon.

As impressive as crop circles can be, I have far more admiration for ancient cultures such as the Peruvian Indians who didn't have the luxury of ride on mowers or earth moving equipment to construct 2000+ year old geoglyphs.

Didn't Eric Von Daniken address this issue in the 1970s?
Super technologically advanced and obviously super narcissistic aliens ordered the Peruvian Indians to construct the geoglyphs so they would be worshipped from afar.
