CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I just made a net thing for my water bottle. It is blue and is solid double crochets on the bottom and open through out the rest. I made a chain pull string.

Hello everyone 
I am having so much trouble with trying to crochet Baby Booties. Does anyone have a pattern that they have used that they could share with me? and would be able to answer any questions that I may have as they come up?

Hi all, here are some pic's of some things I made, the scarf
This is a scarf, I put beads all the way thru the tassels and to highlight the ends.
In this photo you can see the pattern that was worked thru the center. I made this pattern up
This is a baby blanket that I have made for my niece, but used the wrong stitch
This is the same blanket but with the correct stitch. I made it in one day, I was in hospital, and there was not anything else to do.

Hey everone
Just a quick hello on a hectic day. I have housework and laundry to do, pies to bake, potatoes to mash (10 lbs worth!), tools to go through (ugh) and gifts to order before heading to church for a dinner (which is what most of the pies and all the potatoes are for!).
I did up a quick poncho for my 3 month old niece for christmas and finished the gold dragon filet for my son. Now I am working on a CareBear a friend is paying me to make.
I'm sending the link to a pattern from a friend on another list -- my holiday gift to you all!

Thanks for sharing! Those are fantastic! I just popped in for a minute too. I'm busy cleaning and baking too. The youth group is coming to my house this evening and then my husband's brother's family who will be here for a few days!
So far, I have finished the Cream Cheese Filled Chocolate Cake, the Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Swirl Cake and some muffins. I still plan on making two chocolate pies and some chocolate chip cookies. I'm really enjoying the baking today and wish I didn't have to do any housework so I could just spend the day in the kitchen.

Almost anything really.. Afaghans and stuffed animals.. I crocheted poncho's for my daughters and granddaughters for Christmas last year. This year I am going to crochet and doll for one and I haven't decided what else.. I made bed doll lamps the year before that..
