  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

One last question, where on the right side do I start?
"Rnd 2:With right side facing, join pink with dc in first ch-2 sp (see joining with Dc page[but I don't have page 10]); ch 3,"

Assuming you joined the last round and fastened off, the "first 2-ch space" would be the next one you come to from that point.

Does that make any sense?

Start on the corner? Or on the next stitch after the corner?

It sounds like you should join in the space, not a stictch.

I'm making granny squares right now too. I'm using up a bunch of scrap yarn I have to make a lapghan. I'm really enjoying it!

Well, yeah. That's what I ment.

Cool. My granny just taught me how to make granny squares, or at least the kind she knows how to do.

There are so many different kinds of granny squares to make. I have a book with a pattern for an afghan of many different size and style of granny squares. It very bright!

Did you get your questions answered sufficiently? Are you able to continue working on your poncho now?

I've got a bunch of patterns collected, but I haven't tried half of them yet.

I think so. I hope so. I can at least continue for now. Thanks again to who all helped.

I'm half way thru my sister's afghan and 2/3 finished with a 44 inch doily style tabletopper. had to take a break on that because for some odd reason I couldn't count to nine!

I have also started my shopping list of materials for Christmas gifts, as well as planning lists of who is getting what. Still need to know colors from my friend's family members--except the youngest. He picked out a pattern for his afghan last week while he was here.

This is a little purse I just finished. It was easy and quick but I don't really care for the finished result so I won't be making another. I will look for a different pattern though.

One of my other favorites is this Prairie Star afghan. I kept it because the outer edge didn't turn out even so I didn't want to donate it. Even though I didn't do a great job on it I loved making it and the whole family takes turn snuggling with it including our cat , Sable.

Barb--

LOVE the afghan! Do you remember how long it took to make?

I really have never timed myself on any of my projects. It would be very difficult to do as I crochet a while, run and fold a load of laundry, crochet a while, unload the dishwasher, etc. :D
