The afghan sounds really great!I usually get kinda uppity lol I like the idea of what I'm making
Thanks for this, Ruthie! I might try this out as I've had to get by in the past with changing my needle sizes.Hey all, I've been crocheting for over 35 years. If your gauge is loose, it's the way you hold the yarn. Remember one hand is like the tension spool on a sewing machine, particularly the index finger. Practice wrapping the yarn certain ways in your recessive hand and you can gauge the tension you need for even stitches
The afghan sounds really great!
God willing in the summer I will be able to return back to it.
LOL! Know the feeling too wellThanks hun I've not been working on it lately *bad girl smacks my own hand lol

Duck bowling pins? Now all we need is to crochet a golden retriever bowling ball ;-)
They look brilliant! I love your owl pillow too.
Thank you. Yes they are from a pattern. I usually need a pattern. There has only been a few small things I have made without.
Yes, me too. When I did a baby Afghan I got the stitch pattern from a book but then ran with it (during my sleepless nights those years ago).
I'd love to get to the point when I can just create things.

Some are a little confusing but once you get the hang of it you will never have any problems understanding any patterns. Sometimes I would google what I didn't understand. If you ever need help just ask and I'll be more than happy to help out.
I found a bunch of new cute patterns I'm going to make. I will share once I have finished.
