  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed or followed the debate on it...
...But the "Ancient Alien theory" folks have been bringing it to the strict evolutionists.
...After all, as the A.E. folks are fond of saying; ''evolution is only a theory".

I guess I have always had a different take on the statement "On the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."--To me this was like the thief on the cross statement--"I tell you this day thou shalt be with me in paradise."---That is to say--"I tell you this day---(today,under these circumstances)--thou shalt be with me in paradise."---One day, you will be with Me in Paradise. "On the day that thou eatest thereof----"the day you eat of it---"thou shalt surely die."--You will be handed the death sentence. I never saw it as they would day that same day, but that, that day, death would come into their lives--We are now, since then, born to die--You could say, we start to die as soon as we're born! Adam and Eve began to die that day--their cells would no longer regenerate--or keep living as before--they had eaten of the tree of life, and from that they got their longevity, and it took nearly 900 years for their bodies to finish wearing out--but they were destined to day from the day they disobeyed. Sort of the "DEAD MAN WALKING."

That's a very interesting way to look at it.

I see where you are coming from. I don't necessarily subscribe to the old earth creation, or whatever they call it. I just personally don't get to riled up about the debatable details because I do believe God created the earth. I certainly don't believe everything the evolutionists say.

The Bible is not terribly specific as to the length of days, etc, there are in fact sort of two creation stories in Genesis. We can't discount everything that has been discovered on our planet. I just don't know for sure how God created the earth, just as I don't know the details of Noah's flood. My faith in the shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection is solid. That is the salvational issue.

I guess I consider the things that God has made plain and link that with what the scientific community has discovered, in some respects. Like we know how long it takes our planet to rotate on it's axis. This was established by God of course, since He is the creator. Thus God is the one who established the 24hr cycle for our planet. That's all I'm saying.
