  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Besides, this is serious but not that serious as far as I am concerned because I am not worshiping any of these people..and realize that they all are not perfect. I don't feel the need to defend any of them. God will bring to light that which is hidden....

Hmmmmm.......

I remember someone with your screen name vociferously defending Joni Erickson in another thread, just because some one was asking what people thought of her refusing prayer for healing. Does that mean that you worship her?

I, bye the way, also defended her, though I do not listen to her and disagree with her doctrine. Your inference is not well recieved here...

Peace...

I think you missed my point entirely.

On the other hand, in regards to this statement, of the six minitries targeted, I listen to three, Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland, and Joyce Meyer. I've never really felt a witness in my spirit about the other three.

However, the annual salaries of these three are all less than the $400,000.00+ annual salary of Billy Graham. Why wasn't he sent a letter? Could it be, as I've said, that it is the prosperity doctrine that they are after, not the use of the money itself?

Do you really want the government going after a particular set of ministries because they don't like their doctrine?

Peace...
Well the church has even more money. But they are being left alone. So yes this is about doctrine. Not money.

Satan is using this to get God's people to destroy each other with the lie of

"They got more money than me so that makes them guilty."

Sounds like what Dollar is asking for is that they go through the proper channels that the government itself set up.

But then too what Dollar is not realizing is that the US Government reserves the right to break it's own laws when it so desires.

I was actually encouraged to see that Creflo Dollar excerted his rights as a US citizen. I hope the rest do as well. :)

They need to cooperate. If Joni was being investigated, I would say the same thing. So, your point is what? If it was my own mama who was being investigated, I would encourage her to cooperate.

So, your point is what?

This is about integrity. This is not about choosing a battle here. Which I am sure you know all about yourself, right?

Integrity vs A Physical limitation.........I see a huge difference here.

Oh, btw. I listen to Creflo at least once a week. My favorite WOF minister, next to Joyce Meyer.

So, now maybe you can see where I stand.

I don't do the favoritism game when it comes to integrity. That level is too low for me. I am beyond that.

I give a man/woman her honor, when it is due. Regardless, of who or what they are. I may not agree with the entire doctrine, but there is a lot I have gotten spiritually from both of these people.

Here is another important nugget to help you to finish getting the picture. I also know how to separate a man from his message.

You have no idea. You are just as far off as the east is from the west when it comes to me my dear.

My point was regarding your statement that you didn't need to defend them, because you didn't worship them. You seemed to infer that mabey I was.

My point was that you were quick to defend Joni, and quick to judge these ministers.

I am more than sure that they spend God's money on things they should not, more than sure they ALL do.

I think I am safe in saying that you have no clue what they spend 'Gods money' on. No more than I do...

That being said, any judgement you make is based on your own preconceptions, and not on reality.

I want to thank you for awaring of what's going on, not so that I can judge them. But so I can pray about the situation. To me personally it seems they are going after all the mega churchs.

Sometimes we do things and don't agree with them, from where I am standing it seems they are protecting their rights and freedoms. It seems like for some reason people hold maga churchs to a higer standard then the large, medium, and smaller churchs. It seems the mega churchs are the ones that are always taking the hits for everything when it comes to church. People often hold the pastors of those churchs even higher. We have to remember that yes, theybe preachers and teachers and all but either way you look at it they are still human and still make mistakes(not saying they did this time or not only God knows). My opinion is that they are proberly wondering when is this all going to end. That is if something isn't in the news about them today something is in the news about them tomorrow. They are constantly on displaY (in a way) when they make a mistake the world knows and many judge them off of a mistake. But when we make a mistake the whole world doesn't know, and the ones that do know we wish at times didn't know. In my opinion alot of us don't like when others judge us, imagine how they must feel with people judging them and critizing their every action.

Saints of God we have to remember no one what we hear about them we need to keep them in our prayers.Life isn't easy as it is.Then you get those attacks from the emeny on top as that as well. The only thing that will help is prayer. t's important to keep each other lifted up. When one is in trouble or one is need, we all as being one body in Christ need to pray for them and remember they do go through and they are human.

I never judged anybody. I said they need to cooperate. I said that I am sure they have spent money they should not have on something.Yes, I said that. With that said, I still will listen to the 'message' and not be judgemental of the 'messenger' even though I know that they are most likely not squeaky clean either.

Joni has nothing to do with this..you can't even compare the two..apples and oranges baby

What part of that don't you understand.

With all that said, I hope you have a good nights rest..I just got the BEST news I have ever got in my life...and I don't see the need to continue to even argue this.....

:hug:Hugs..Kisses...I love you my brother in the Lord..

We agree on more than you realize.....;)

And was Paul setting a bad example by demanding his rights as a Roman citizen of the men who were going to whip him?

This thing should have been held privately by the IRS and then made public if wrong doing was found. You would want the same for yourself.

Creflo is trying to force them to go through proper channels.

I haven't read all of the posts, because to be honest I don't have the time. There's way too many, but I agree with this post. But I'm going to go one step further. I don't believe these people have done anything wrong. I mean, it may look unseemly, or schizy or whatever to be asking for money the way they do, but I don't think it's illegal or should be. I mean, ultimately you're responsible for your money and what you do with it.

I think we must all realize that in order for the investigation to have come to fruition is the fact that there probably IS some over spending going on. Maybe some of you have seen some of the reports of Hinn and the lavish penthouses this guy stays in during his crusades... I am talking anywhere from 10 close to $20,000 per night folks... All on the money that people are giving because they think that there vow or offering will open the flood gates of heaven...

It is nieve to think that we have nothing to fear from the government.
Governments have perpetrated great evil upon the church in the past and will again in the future.
When they pull you from your home and march you toward the box cars will you think to yourself "No problem here... nothing to worry about... nothing to fear from the government."

I have a bridge in Arizona I would like to sell you.

Trust me when I say, no matter what you are, church or person, you have equal rights. The government believes that they can push churches around and not go through proper channels. The government must go through proper channels they just think that they can bully us because we have shown, time and time again, that we are huge push overs. Also, all churches need lawyers and offerings go toward keeping churches running. Big churches definitely need lawyers. Offerings also go towards making sure the full-time staff are cared for and able to feed their families. I did read earlier somebody said that Pastor Dollar had a Rolls Royce...please tell me that was sarcasm and not true.

He has the right to legal advice, and the government to ask him properly, through pre existing channels. They seem to be the ones who are acting inappropriately.

Innocent until proven guilty - the burden is on the government, not the other way around
