Absolutely. What does he have to fear from the government? So instead he is going to spend the donations that people send in on lawyers. If he is in the wrong, he will be found out anyway, if he is in the right, God will vindicate him.

I think they all need to cooperate and go ahead and do what is asked.

If they are not guilty of any mishandling, they will make themselves appear guilty for not cooperating with the officials.

If they are guilty of mishandling the Lord will deal with them.

I am not a WOF'er, but I do listen to some WOF ministers. Even though I don't agree with everything they teach.

But, regardless of who they are, they should cooperate and get this thing over with. The truth will come to light eventually anyway, rather they are doing something wrong or if they are not. It will come to light at some point.

From what I recall (and I could be mistaken) he told them he was a citizen after he was beaten. There were also plenty of times he didn't say anything. And he didn't spend donor's money on lawyers when he stated he was a Roman Citizen.

If we ask the government to underwrite what we are doing in the form of tax breaks and incentives we are obliged to jump through whatever hoops they define.

We are certainly “beholding” to Caesar if he cuts us a deal on our taxes.

Paul also when being tried by King Agrippa, made an appeal to be tried by Caesar. He used his governmental rights whenever he chose to.

Creflo Dollar is doing the same. He has a right to privacy until proven guilty. You would do the same.

I would do the same for myself, not some tax exempt ministry that I ran. The ministry is being investigated. I would stand up for his individual rights all day long, but he needs to be forthcoming about his ministry. Joyce Meyer, bless her heart, is doing the right thing. $ will use money that people give for the Gospel to try to protect himself, just as he has used it to live a lavish lifestyle.

By requiring the senate to issue subpeonas, there will be a legal framework that will gaurantee privacy laws are followed. Its a good move. I don't think their will be any subpeonas however, because that would require an official investigation. An official investigation would be a hard sell as there is no credible evidence of any wrongdoing. Just things like the above quoted statements from BenAdam.
