Just as dogs are not just for Christmas unwanted babies can not be handed back, if we don't pass on our knowledge to our children we don't deserve to be called parents, our hang-ups should not be passed on to our children.
If you can not talk to your children about sex you should at least ask someone else to do it because they deserve at least that.
Sex education should be taught in the schools, with all parents in attendance affirming the facts to their children as they are presented ( just a nod in the appropriate places would be sufficient). If any parent disagrees with the teachings of the experts they can then explain it to their kids at home. That way everything is out in the open, no stone unturned, and both parent and child have a basis for questions.
