Cool, then god is a liar and shouldn't be trusted at all, or the bible isn't the word of god and is false. Since the flood has been disproved many times (barring god lying to us in his creation) then the bible is false and atheists win, game set and match.

The only way around this is to ignore gods creation and believe that he is really decieving us, but yet we can still trust him, since of course trees that produce bad fruit can produce good fruit as well. er wait, is that how it goes?

That's your opinion- you're entitled to it. Actually, I just liked it. I thought it was funny, despite the fact that it really didn't represent me as a person much at all. I'm not one of those atheists who define myself by that label. In fact, CF is the only place where I even think about my lack of belief. My REAL life is so full of the other complications of REAL life, that I hardly ever think of it.

How many of you actually think the universe is about 6000 years old?

I think that the possibility exists that the 6,000 years and the 13.7 billion are accurate. I feel that the time (day,month,year) that we see since Adam are a separate time frame or more percisely when time was established by the spiritual forming of Adam.

Note: I don't believe the earth is flat. I don't believe that it states it in the Bible as flat either. Just so we don't have to go there later.

I've seen one source that says that recorded, written history goes backm 6100 years. And here I thought that written history didn't get started until after the Flood...
