Most scientists would lose their job if they say the name Jesus outside of kicking their toe. The same goes for teachers let's face it there's no room for God when playing god. When the scientist wants to discuss spiritual subjects,
When I see tree huggers doing their part, namely cutting these out of their lives:
1. gas-powered cars
2. cement patios
3. glass windows
4. barbecue grills
5. fireplaces
6. pop
7. CO2 extinguishers
... then I'll consider how sincere they are.
In what universe? Most scientists would lose their job if they say the name Jesus outside of kicking their toe.
Ok.....The same goes for teachers let's face it there's no room for God when playing god.
It's not really OK it,s a shame that mentioning God in a classroom is interpreted by many as shaving religion down the throats of children.

Scientists and teachers have private lives too, in which they can discuss religion, spirituality and what ever they want without fear of losing they job. Most scientists would lose their job if they say the name Jesus outside of kicking their toe. Note I said mention what would be wrong with a science teacher starting of his/her class by saying OK kids let me teach you all about the solar system another one of God's creations. If it's a religious studies class I don't see a problem with it
And they should be allowed to express their interest at work too. I worked in a hospital for a time and there were a few doctors that nealed in the corner of the room daily during their shift to pray no problem there.Scientists and teachers have private lives too, in which they can discuss religion, spirituality and what ever they want without fear of losing they job.
That would be good if all schools would adopt that view.Anyone is free to mention any number of gods that they deem necessary for the education of the children.
Depends on which year of school, but if it was in Secondary school, I would've probably asked for proof of that statement, (or at least asked which textbook that was in).Note I said mention what would be wrong with a science teacher starting of his/her class by saying OK kids let me teach you all about the solar system another one of God's creations.
I would be more than surprised if they all do of course one must be realistic as far as the teacher's personal viewpoint on the subject of religion. The schools have to watch out for parents that may find the subject taboo for their children. Start talking about God in a crowd and there is always someone that gets upset.I don't know any that can't.

And if I was the teacher of that class I would refer the student to a biblical class as they don't have to believe or already know about everything. eg: The roses smell lovely this morning class today's lesson is all about botany. Which tex book is that in sir.or at least asked which textbook that was in

Sounds like that class would benefit from a stern robotic teacher that is programmed to specifics only. The teacher shouldn't be including anything in the lesson if he has to refer them to another teacher when they ask about it.
No.That's a bit of an over-reaction, don't you think?
