Oh goody. So the evening won't be a total loss...revolutio said:No it just mean the actual debate is over and that he lost. You are still free to resort to ridicule and celebrate your intellectual superiority.
Waffles are good. Like pancakes, they're stackable, and you can pour stuff into the little holes if you want to.revolutio said:No no, we still have three goats, two virgins, and a badger to sacrifice. Then we can stay up late swapping manly stories and, in the morning, I'm makin' waffles.
Hitler was a type of antichrist, that lead the false christian church astray. After the war there was a wave of repentance in Germany and there were some who returned to the christian faith. True Christians like Corrie Tan Boon and her family were put in prision in Nazi Germany. Corrie's sister and father died in prison, she excaped do to the grace of God and a adminstrative error.Mistermystery said:Let's also not forget to mention that Hitler for instance was also a Christian, so you could put that one on your list as well Dj.
To be honest I was only chipping in to falsify the argument that evolutionists somehow were responsible for every murder/death/war in the world. Also, True christians weren't put to prison in Nazi Germany. Sure, some Christians were but not all.JohnR7 said:Hitler was a type of antichrist, that lead the false christian church astray. Chris, the peppered moth is an example of observed natural selection at work. It was never claimed as an example of speciation. If you want speciation, go see the thread "Observed Speciation" that's on page 2 or 3 right now.Chris Lesley said:Most evolutionist claim to use scientific methods when talking about biology. Yet with the peppered moth example (and the like) they simply bluff their way and try to sell it as proof. No-one is buying it. You start with a moth species ranging from dark to light before the experiment, you have a moth species ranging from dark to light during the experiment and at the end of the experiment you have a moth species ranging from dark to light.
OHH, YES NOW ITS ALL CLEAR.
1. Common ancestry -- unification -- is a conclusion from data, not a belief. However, notice that creationism believes in the unity of nature also -- unity imposed by a "common designer".Chris Lesley said:Simply the basis of Evolutionary "science" begins with a belief in the unification of "nature". Evolution is a nature based paradigm.
Creation is a technology based paradigm. That is grounded in the observable. (ALL THINGS ARE SEPARATE) separate programs.
Taking multiple things and imagining some sort of connection takes place in the mind only. Ultimately evolution leads to eco-terrorism and the destruction of technology based science. Evolution is anti-science.
Emphatically, NO it does NOT! This is the oldest canard of creationism -- that anyone accepting evolution is secular! See:Chris Lesley said:Name calling, the only other tactic evolutionist are capable of. Oh yea if you are an evolutionist that makes you secular if you were not aware.
I doubt it, since molecular biology is showing changes in genes that result in new traits and new information. I take it as a teacher that you do not read the scientific literature. From your posts it sounds like you only read creationist literature. Do you sleep well at night knowing you lie to your students? Apparently your version of Christianity doesn't include the 9th Commandment.Chris Lesley said:I expect that devolution is the next revolution and that you will be hearing more about it in the future. It is a different interpretation of the same evidence.
I wouldn't worry too much about it; he got strangely tight-lipped once I asked about his alleged certification.Data said:Wait - this guy is a some sort of.. teacher?

Ahh, number 3 and 5. I see, I was thinking of number 1 and 2. Oops.
But I bet we get his students from the small Christian schools for small Christians in here spouting off on creationism. We'll have to re-teach them.Nathan Poe said:I wouldn't worry too much about it; he got strangely tight-lipped once I asked about his alleged certification.
I wouldn't worry about him infecting any real educational institutions...

Chris Lesley said:Geo means earth. Chronometer means clock. Earth clocks. there are hundreds of them that limit the earths age. The earth has to be around 6000 years.
How's this?Jet Black said:heh, you make it sound like roleplay:
"You have invoked Adolf Hitler with power of thread ending +5. your argument now dies instantly, but other players may continue firing at you"
someone needs to make a card of that really, like the bevets one.
