  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

And I can claim faith in invisible pink unicorns and derive "moral teachings" from a book other than one written thousands of years ago by people in a completely different culture than ours. "God" has (currently) no explanatory power, physics does.
I think you have not been following, I am not replacing physics with God.

I put physics "with in" God.

For I think he is not a deity of obscure powers but rather the ultimate physicist, mathematician and biologist.

So I embrace all forms of serious science and I attribute their existence to GOD.

So my beliefs retain all the explanatory power of physics and the moral values of a creator.

I am saying I agree, and physics is correct and I contend that GOD is the author and we are only discovering his mind thru physics.

That is viable enough, for me at least. However, this will, as far as I can tell, always remain belief. You can belief that God set up the physical laws in the universe and keeps them going. I do not subscribe to this belief, but it might very well be possible. However, Robomastodon might be correct in his belief that the invisible pink unicorn does the same thing. Or maybe the illustrous Iggy, the magic elf. One cannot logically as inherently better than the other, it all comes down to belief.

Correct, I agree.

But I personally do not get offended by someone believing in the pink unicorn, but it seems that "robomastodon" does so in regards of the belief in a God creator of physycs.

I know this is off topic, but if evolution is true, why have we stopped evolving.
Who told you that we've stopped evolving?

And if evolution takes millions of years to take place, then wouldn't that mean that there was something that could live for 1,000,000+?
No one individual creature lives 1,000,000+ years. Then again, individual creatures don't evolve, populations do... by passing on beneficial traits to the next generation.... which passes them on to the next..... and so on... and so forth...
