Creation or Evolution? How do we know which is true?

Well, that's for the OP to decide. He asked a question regarding what questions he himself should ask. He did not ask us to answer.

Are we reading the same OP?

Are we reading the same OP?

This is what he said:

"If our lives depend on the truth, then how do we know which is true? What questions should people ask to help find out the truth for themselves?"

The OP is implying that he's interested in what questions to ask and how to know what is right.

He's not asking anyone to tell him what is right.

If you can't believe the very first couple chapters of the Bible, how can you trust anything else after?

The Bible doesn't support evolution. What you believe about creation absolutely affects what you believe about the rest of God's Word. Genesis says God created everything. It does not say he created the monkey and waited for it to turn in to man.

What a strange thought that is. Just read Job 38 to the end of the book. Or read Psalms. How can one come to the conclusion that when God speaks, things don't happen? Creation obeys God. Supporting evolution is like suggesting God didn't know what he was doing.

Evolution requires death. When did death enter creation? After Adam sinned. You cannot support evolution with scripture. It's not there.

Many many problems. Depends on which version of evolution you believe. For example, why didn't God save us at the Pliocene time? (you may not see how serious this question is).

Why did not God "save us" immediately after Adam or after Noah? Why waiting for so long, thousands of years?

God has His timing which is perfect.

To ask "why" is not useful, we are just dust and do not understand His ways.

Both sides have provided evidence(s) to support their claims. If our lives depend on the truth, then how do we know which is true? What questions should people ask to help find out the truth for themselves?

Death proves creation, no one or thing or mammal or fish will live millions of years to evolve.

And no mutation changes happen within a man or woman's lifespan.

You can not have it both ways, it takes millions of years but then mutation changes happen in a humans lifespan.

Ok, so through millions of years of birthing from death to death mutation happens for a change? that makes no sense at all.

Death proves creation.

No no. You do not understand the question. This question is based on the idea of human evolution.

Consider another easier one: What is the role of God if the evolution process were true? Does God intervene the evolution process?

Depends. Does God intervene your computer to work?

God pre-established nature to work according to His plan. He can sometimes work miraculously, but He is most of time working through the laws He made.

You still did not postulate any real problem, just questions.

It's more complex than just saying our lives depend on the truth about how we think this world came to be. From what I understand about this life, if there is one thing far more influential in a general overall sense, it's love your neighbor as yourself.

If people want to have a civil discussion/debate about the two sides, that's fine. If on the other hand it comes from a place of strife and a desire to throw verbal rocks at the opposing side, it's possible the truth will condemn you. Matthew 7:22-23

There will be the 'least' and the 'greatest' in the kingdom.
And where does Scripture say that those who do not believe in a literal reading of Genesis will be among the least in the kingdom?

That's pretty confusing, don't you think?

To revisit your post, the OP included "us", "we", and "people". How did you determine he was talking only about himself?

And, I was responding to your post regarding "Adams's rib", not the OP.

It was a general statement germane to the topic.

Since it was in response to my post, I assumed it was directed at what I said. Apparently not.

It seemed like a good place to slip it in.

Just look at the evidence for yourself. The choice should be easy.
Ironic statement.

Tens of thousands of highly trained experts, over decades and decades, have “looked” and their unanimous conclusion: evolution.

I will defer to the experts who have logged hundreds of thousands of hours of hard work, all subject to the rigours of the scientific method, rather than to a “gut feeling”.

Bah. Strong delusion.
