I apologize.

Thanks for the reminder. :)
The NIV makes the same mistake.

Colossians 4:15 [KJV] Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

Colossians 4:15 [NIV] Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

Speaking of mistakes, how about the KJV........?

Google "uncaused cause"

Ok, read a few sites on "uncaused cause" and it seems that the conclusion would be that the universe would be an 'uncaused cause' for those who embrace the viewpoint that the universe is that from which everything proceeds but had no beginning. The universe is 'God', in other words.

No, the universe didn't "cause" anything to happen. Everything that is in the universe is a result of the nature of the universe.

The universe didn't cause the first life form to appear?

How is that a mistake? The Greek word autos can be translated as either masculine or feminine. It is translated as "her" many times in the KJV of the New Testament. Seeing as how "her" in Col 4:15 is referring to Nymphas, a feminine noun, it makes sense to use the feminine pronoun.

There are quite a few translations that use "her" in that verse, and some even use "their". Other than your personal preference, what reason is there to believe the KJV is correct?

In your opinion maybe, but the universe has nothing in common with the common understanding of "God".

The universe didn't cause the first life form to appear?
Not according to this theory, no.

Now you know why I'm KJVO.

Go, little rhyme, go! :)

The grammar and such is different, but at least it's recognizable English, compared to something like Beowulf

Weirdly enough I don't find past versions of English that hard to read.

Only to expose you guys' false accusation about Genesis 1 & 2.

Wrong, you are assuming man's fallible written word over physical evidence that is overwhelming. Genesis 1 & 2 are horribly incorrect with known science.

Genesis can take a hike.

Nope, only to show how inconsistent you are: "KJV is the only Bible, except when it doesn't agree with my interpretation of Genesis". So much for Boolean standards.

That has nothing to do with what we are discussing. Please try to stay on topic.
Fair enough.

Genesis 1 has nothing to do with science.

There's nothing to demonstrate.

Consider the claim that anything at all could be created ex nihilo is what I'm challenging, that's up to those who accept the challenge to figure out, not me.
Good luck with that; 'ex nihilo' is either paradoxical or oxymoronic, or both - Ex nihilo nihil fit.
