So, will anyone caught teaching evolution be hanged in your C.S.A.? Since it seems plainly obvious you can't debate them on the facts...

If not hanged, they would likely receive highly dishonorable mentions or an official reprimand and imprisonment for exercising their curiosity and critical thinking over the CSA values of blind faith. I mean, critical thinking and curiosity would be extremely dangerous to the CSA. A permanent office called the Department of Information would need to be established to ensure no one is committing thought crimes or is curious as to why those fossils in that museum are over six thousand years old. That is, if museums still exist, since they may not conform to SoF's view of history. The media too would need to be censored so as to eliminate the possibility that the press may explore facts or ask questions. The CSA relies on a conspiracy of silence.

Yes...SoF could call it the Ministry of Truth.

All absolute lies.

It is an absolute lie that we have been here for billions and billions of years. Stupid lie at that, but none the less; a lie.

The earth and everything you see around you is fairly young.

Just because some joker started a lie and told it over and over; and the lie let people feel free to sin: does not make the lie true!!! Hello. It is still a lie.

It is an impossibility for man to have been created from nothing without GOD. Only GOD can do these miraculous things.

Are you ready??? Seriously...are you ready???

There can't even be a hydrogen atom without GOD making it. Duh!!!

FROM NOTHING, NOTHING COMES.

You can't have a big bang/ slime ball in the soup/ turning into a monkey/ turning into a man. Ridiculous and stupid. It is what we rational thinking human beings call SCIENCE FICTION!!!

This is how it happened:

"IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH..." :preach:

SOLA GRATIA.

Come on SoF, just because we don't know where matter and energy came from doesn't mean God made it by default. You still need to find and provide evidence for that.

And calling what you don't agree with lies does not make it true. Nor do large founts make you more holy or right. At this point your looking like a drama queen by shouting at people you don't agree with.

EVIDENCE! EVIDENCE!???

JESUS MESSIAH ROSE UP FROM THE DEAD! That is all the evidence we need. Hello!

Evolution is a vile disgusting lie. It is pure unadulterated science fiction.

 Hello! There is no soup, slime ball, turned monkey-filth, turned man. Didn't happen; can't happen.

That is not proof of evolution being wrong. We have plenty of compelling evidence of evolution happening. And I wonder why you try to squeeze God into a small box which says He cannot have used evolution to create us.
In my personal experience, and in biblical history instantaneous action is the exception to how God works. His prime method is through time and with a great deal of patience. Look at how long since Abraham to Jesus for example. How long since Jesus until now, and who knows how long until the end of days?
God is a patient God. I don't see why you want to give him a label as a hurrying God when all the evidence suggests creation was neither instantaneous nor that God commonly uses instantaneous fixes to things - despite that He can do so, most of His grand things are done through literally aeons.
Why do you perceive God as so little, why do you assault science and the evidence found when it doesn't fit your own perception of things? Why don't you marvel at what discoveries we make? After all, all we're doing is studying the work of God's hands. Is your faith really as strong as you claim it is when it cannot stand to face what facts are out there?

I was watching "The Mist" the other day. And there was a character in that movie which reminded me of Shield. Can anyone guess who?

Hahahaha, I read the short story a couple months ago, and i thought the same thing!!

Yes. HE rose up from the dead.

What don't you understand about that?

SOLA GRATIA.

I understand the concept perfectly. Someone dies, and then they come back to life.

What i personally do not understand is whether it actually happened in reality or not.

And personally, again, i lean towards Not.

Let's pretend that there's a connection here, and I'm just not seeing it.

What is it?

 Hello! There is no soup, slime ball, turned monkey-filth, turned man. Didn't happen; can't happen.

And yet, God-Men floating through the air is a perfectly plausible event.

"IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED...

. . . A race of people who use poetry, symbol, and mythology to convey truths too big to be expressed in literal language. And lo, was His face red when He saw that some of His more credulous followers took the myths seriously."

I mean, seriously, Shield -- think about the ascension in 21st century terms, and tell me you don't see one serious flaw.

Here's a hint: Jesus rose up to where?

Oh stop being so dramatic.

JESUS MESSIAH ROSE UP FROM THE DEAD! That is all the evidence we need. Hello!

OK, but that doesn't prove that evolution is wrong. And where is this evidence that Jesus rose from the dead? You would think there would be other sources describing this event other then the Bible.

Evolution is a vile disgusting lie. It is pure unadulterated science fiction.

And yet you haven't provided any evidence that is it science fiction. In the mean time, biotech companies are using the theory of evolution to make new medications and antibiotics. They use it because it works, not because it fits into someones ideal theology.

When the I.C.R. start to make science that works in the real world and not some theological ideal, then we should take them seriously.

 Hello! There is no soup, slime ball, turned monkey-filth, turned man. Didn't happen; can't happen.

If you think that is the theory of evolution, you are misinformed.

"IN THE BEGINNING GOD CREATED...

That may be true, but you still have to provide evidence for it. And does it hurt so much to figure out how the universe works?

Besides, "God created" does not necessarily mean "God created it all in three seconds and then had someone write the account down exactly as it happened"

I don't think we should discount what the bible says just because a literal interpretation makes it so obviously wrong. Literal interpretations of almost any writing about anything of scientific importance from a time so long ago cannot be read literally. Sure, you can find smidgens of truth in there, but the lack of understanding made a scientifically correct interpretation impossible.
Show anyone from that time a car, and he'll probably talk about "a great metal beasts with wheels within wheels, roaring incessantly, puting the humans it ate at display within it's large eyes for all to fear it's terrible presence"

Just saying it can't be taken literally. But that does not mean it's wrong. Do you understand that, Shield?

And this thread was about initially what!!!?

Forget the large caps and hyper-active pronounciations of your interpretation of your faith. Get real and work towards real change. We have major problems in this country that don't require extremists or far right fielders to provide answers to. We need to work together.

GrayCat, that is too bad.

GOD did not leave us without a witness. There were hundreds and thousands of people who saw the miracles of Jesus. HE did not do this thing in secret. HE was publically crucified and HE rose up from the dead and showed Himself publically.

There were many eye witnesses to this. You just don't believe the witnesses.

Think about it. There are some right now who don't believe that Hitler murdered millions of Jews/Slavs...ect.. Think how retarded that is. That took place less than 100 years ago. We still have some survivors alive to testify. And some still don't believe. Tragic!!!

And yet strangely, despite your claim that hundreds and thousands saw them, there are few eyewitness accounts. In fact, the only accounts of these miracles are only found in one book and were all written decades after the miracles occurred -- typically by those who did not personally witness the miracles.

As for the Holocaust, yes there are some who do not believe. The difference is the volumes of evidence that supports the Holocaust, including the thousands of eyewitness testimonies of the people that saw the camps.

For being so public there are not that many accounts of it. You would think there would at least be one non-Christian account of it.

Think about it. There are some right now who don't believe that Hitler murdered millions of Jews/Slavs...ect.. Think how retarded that is. That took place less than 100 years ago. We still have some survivors alive to testify. And some still don't believe. Tragic!!!

The two do not equate. For the holocaust on top of the witnesses there are documents the Nazis keep, the camps themselves, and film footage. For the raising of Christ we have a handful of accounts, some written long after the event. Of the two which one is more likely to be true.

The Crucifixion is not questioned -- it was the Roman SOP for dealing with foreign troublemakers.

The resurrection, OTOH -- you claim there were witnesses: Can you tell us who and where? I think not, seeing as how the Gospels themselves trip on this point.

There were many eye witnesses to this. You just don't believe the witnesses.

Can you name them? Try it, Shield -- everyone such as yourself who has read the Cliff Notes Bible agrees that Jesus first appeared to women. They think this adds credibility to the story, because women normally wouldn't be considered reliable witnesses.

Funny thing thogh, they clam up when called up to identify these phantom females.

Care to give it a whirl?

We still have people who think Columbus proved the Earth was round.
We still have people who think George Washington was a military genius.
We still have people who think Betsy Ross designed the American flag.

Myths die hard, Shield -- perhaps separating truth from fiction isn't in your line?

(and in case you've forgotten -- Uberlarge fonts do not make your weak ideas any less false)
