but what Africa most needs is not more money, it needs political and economic reform and for the West to desist from stealing its best and brightest.

Yes well you're changing the subject now. Unfortunately the odious 'cult of celebrity' which society suffers from is the reason pop stars speak out on poverty, for some reason being even a minor celebrity means that your opinion is automatically more valid.

I happen to agree that throwing money at the problem will not make it disappear. What Africa needs first and foremost is less corruption, and the West can do a lot to help see this to fruition.

I agree with your disdain for celebrity, but no. the reason that the pop stars speak out is because it is good publicity and good for their careers.

Reality isn't as black and white as you wish it to be, I find it extremely tiresome when people refuse to acknowledge that there may be some semblence of goodness and integrity in people (even celebrities!). All of mankind is made in God's image, and as such all of mankind is capable of displaying some Christlikeness.

I first thought the voice was a bit funny when the ads came out with the spinny thing but not the actual frog. Now, I have to put the tv on mute whenever the ads are on. They keep coming out with ways to make the lamest tunes just to annoy me.
