Any and all statements on the web and in the news could be false. Every post in this thread could be a boldfaced lie, including yours.

Or maybe not.

Given that some seem to be oddly triggered by the topic of the OP, let's nip this in the bud with a little refresher course, shall we?

There are reports of people getting COVID and dying from it.

There are also reports of people getting COVID and not only surviving it, but just barely even realizing they had it.

There are also reports of people getting false positive results when they never took the test.

In case it wasn't clear, this thread is about reports of people getting false positive results when they never took the test.

Please note that post #16 contains a report indicating that this last scenario is a thing, and there's at least one explanation as to why this is a thing.

Thank you.

And I addressed that.
Something is going wrong with clean, sterile swabs testing positive. And they will get to the bottom of the problem. Scientific community wants accurate data.

I wonder if the political community agrees?

Well that's just it...
If they can prove that someone was deliberately falsifying results, that is a felony conviction that will require a few years as a resident of "Club Fed". Not to mention the lifetime of poverty from the lawsuits...and judges love to convict and get really angry with those interfering with such things.
(Not to mention the scientific community)

This is not a little thing to mess about with test results...it can include charges up to murder.

I doubt that anyone is deliberately falsifying result but I also would not be surprised if some people would not be going out of their way to find a way to correct false results that happened due to faulty tests or faulty testing occurring from poor testing equipment and overwork.

I am suspecting the problem is that hospitals and state/local governments financially benefit from the number of positive cases.

So just a couple weeks ago, my neighbor's two young high school aged daughters had to get tested for COVID19 as one of the requirements to going back to school. They get to the testing center and complete the registration paperwork. However, after discovering that it was going to be a four hour wait, they decided to leave without getting tested. So it was an absolute shock to them to find a letter in the mail that they both tested positive for COVID19. A test they never taken!

What is going on?

My wife tested negative twice but the health department still listed her as positive. She had to do 14 days quarantine. They listed her because I had it.

By name? Asking her to quarantine is not the same as listing her as positive for COVID-19.

Yes. This was exactly the case. And the point of the thread is to have a discussion about the experience to see if anyone else have had any similar experiences or may know of similar situations.

Now this is just a rumor that I heard from a coworker. Supposedly, during some investigation, 10 sterile tests (tests that were never actually used) were sent to our local lab and 8/10 tested positive for COVID19. Again, that was just hearsay, but I am curious if anyone have heard of anything similar.

They listed her as positive. They told me that there was no way I had it and she didn't. That week the local newspaper listed two new cases in our town. Even in my case I tested negative twice at the doctor office positive once on the one they sent to the lab and positive for antibodies at a different lab. All in the course of a week.

Didn't the woman in Florida that was eaten by an alligator get listed as a covid death? I'm not a doctor but I sure would have had a different take on cause of her death.

Who's this they? Who told you?

Did you make sure no one else in your town had tested positive?

Or you get a guy who suffered from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head who is declared a COVID19 death because his depression was agrivated by the manditory lockdown.

The woman from the health department that called me after the doctors office reported the positive test. She said "I'm going to go ahead and list your wife as positive, there is no way you had it and she didn't" then she went on to tell me about quarantine.

You should tell your local newspaper. The health department should be counting positive lab tests, not making decisions.

I've been seeing articles in the news about deaths being reported as covid without testing. Or people who die as a result of something else but have covid and the death gets counted as a covid death. People just believe what they want to. I can't stop them.
