Could Mary have stopped God?

So out of curiosity if the question were phrased:

Would God have forced Mary against her will to bear and raise Christ?

Are all of the above no's now be yes?

Because if they are not then there is far more to the question than the poll shows and the simple yes/no of it shows nothing.

why would God 'force' someone. As Uphill has pointed out..reading the Word, He didn't even ask her. The angel TOLD HER HOW it was going to happen. I am sure she was in tune enough with God, that when it happened...she was the humble girl we know and said..be it unto me...I mean...He COULD Of used someone else...but He knew from the beginning. God is outside time and knows the end from the beginning...He knew Mary would say what she did...so really, your question in moot.

Loaded? perhaps. Manipulative? not in the slightest. there are some who believe this... and that is very, very sad.

Loaded questions are in fact always manipulative, basically they cannot be otherwise. The fact that some may hold a misguided view ( or more likely have unwittingly answered another loaded question ) doesnt actually alter the fact that the question was loaded either.
