Confessing means repentance, not just listing off your sins. Are you willing to repent, to turn your back on your sins (even the ones you don't think are sins) and to say with all the sincerity that you can muster up that you are truly sorry and hope, with God's help, to never indulge in those sins again? Otherewise, it's a false confession and while you might fool the priest you won't fool God.

I was wondering if it was even worth a shot at asking my priest.

If I confess, would I be able to receive tonight? I was thinking of going to Pascha tonight, but idk...

Definitely try to go to Pascha tonight- no matter what. Just being there will be a blessing even if you can't receive tonight. Call your priest now to talk to him if you have to.

Well, here's the thing.

I feel like, in the presence of God and inside a church again, I WILL mean it, and I'll probably cry. But once I leave Pascha, I'm not sure if I will really mean the repentance, you know?

But it's something I've been wondering a lot about, and... I want to try. It's Pascha, and I really want to try, and give it my all, and see if it lasts after Pascha, yknow? :/

That's an honest answer.

yeah, go to Pascha, it cannot hurt to try to contact your priest. if you confess and you sincerely repent, I would imagine you would be able to recieve. I mean, the Master accepts those at the 11th hour just like He does to those who came at the 1st hour. and, like everyone else said, Pascha of all things would be good to go to.

prayers for you my brother!
