ok the church that i go to we have Sabbath clas and the teacher uses corner stone (http://cornerstoneconnections.adventist.org/) i got my first book like 2 or 3 weeks ago (ive only been going to the church for like 2 months now) and i have a question:what is it? is it a devotional thing cause if it is thatll be great i had never done devotions before and i hear that ur suppose to get booklets or something well can someone please explain the booklet? thanks

Sorry, but I'm really not sure.

However, I venture to guess that it is a daily devotional guide that addresses certain ideas on a weekly basis throughout the quarter, which will be taught or expounded on during Sabbath School.

It's a daily Bible study/devotional guide for youth. Many youth Sabbath School classes use it, so reading it would probably help you to be more prepared to participate in discussions during Sabbath School.

I went and had a look at the link you provided and it seems that it is a dailky study guide for the youth.

I did not read it all the way through so cannot say if it is good or otherwise.

It has the following in there so it must be GC approved.

"2004 General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists
Sabbath School and Personal Ministries"

Depending on your age, you're usually assigned to a Sabbath School class of your peers. This allows you to interact with individuals that share the same interests or have similar concerns. Each Sabbath School class has their own unique study guide; thus the Kindergarten, Primary, Junior, Youths, Collegiate, Adults have a study guide that's uniquely designed to respond to some of the spiritual needs of the group involved.

Some individuals use the study guides as a devotional, while others view the guides as just that - a guide or an aide with which to study the Bible. May you be blessed as you study .

Yes, it's the official GC-approved Sabbath School lesson quarterly for youth.

Just a quick note of encouragement here, that devotions idea is a good one! And while there are books that are helpful at times, the best book is still the Bible itself. Don't accept any substitutes! Bible study and prayer time are invaluable.
