I made one statement about how we should avoid threads we disagree with so they go away... that is it to my knowledge. Hardly "contributing"

As for the other one recently started, I haven't even viewed it, nor will I.

You did not have to get on my thread, and say what you said below.

You said this on my doctrinally centered feast thread in post 15.

"The best way to make threads like this disappear is to not post on them... deprive them of attention and they will go away"

And why say... "threads like this"? What do you mean by "this" like it was an awful thing!

That is demagoguery to the hilt.

So no offense, but perhaps you should lead by example......

The second problem after the contentiousness is a person's denial of it.

This is very true. The comment made was judgemental of the thread and added nothing except contention. And now this thread. lol. I see the actions here and the words together.

I am not complaining about specific posts. Merely the concept people use contentious topics to draw views And the way to overcome the divide around here. Sorry if you want no part of the healing of the forum, but i do.

You don't fix a wound by saying bless you and not addressing the need.

Have you ever put a puzzle together and all the different areas of the puzzle are completely different colors? Makes it easy to put all the pieces together. The contrast is so clear that there's no way you can miss it and then it get's almost simple.

Same type of thing with a puppy. A bad puppy tinkles in the house in the same spot. A really bad puppy tinkles in every room in the house habitually. If a puppy tinkles in every room all the time, you can't say that puppy keeps having accidents. After so many accidents, you realize that your puppy just doesn't care that they are tinkling all over the house. By this point, the house stinks. Then no one wants to come visit anymore.
