Not legally. The Natural Born clause is about what is natural, not what is legal. What is natural is determined by God, not by man. His Father's people were obliged to recognize him as one of their own, because he was God's reward to one of their own. This is why, in order to be "natural born", your father needs to be American.
That's a good idea if you want a military state. How about serving this country via military as one of the requirements to being our commander and chief?
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NATIVE BORN AND NATURAL BORN. Natural born isn't even a legal term - you won't find it on any official documentation anywhere.
Of course his father existed, and the land that is currently the country of Kenya existed. But his father wasn't a Kenyan citizen when Obama was born, therefore Obama in not a Kenyan citizen.
Herbie the only thing that should end the discussion here is this:
You've been insisting this ever since before the man took office and NO ONE is on your side anymore. Congress declared he is a natural born citizen. NO ONE from this Congress or the last has objected to his eligibility. There was more objection to MCCAIN'S eligibility.
How about serving this country via military as one of the requirements to being our commander and chief?
Not legally.
His Father belonged to his Nation, whatever that was. Maybe it was a tribe in Kenya.
I want to tell everyone that if they want to print my letter, put their own names or aliases on it, and mail it to their own small town newspaper, they have my permission to do so. This Bible birther thing needs to be grass roots.
Suppose we print it as is and keep it in the bathroom in case of emergencies? Do we have your permission to do that as well?
Ew - high quality is too stiff to do a good job. Newsprint would be better suited.Hopefully you are using high quality paper in your printer.
No, "clause" makes it a legal term. There is nothing natural about a clause. You're right -- Not legally, but naturally. The Natural Born Clause is about what is natural, not what is legal.
I'm sorry - it's just stupid to say that man cannot define the word "natural". He has defined it in many contexts, time and time again so to say he can't defies the reality of what has been done.I'll explain what I mean by this: There are two different types of Law that govern over us. One is the Law of Man, which for us would be the United States government. The other is the Laws of Nature, which would be the Kingdom of God. On one hand, you've got the US Constitution and the US legal code, and on the other, you've got the Holy Bible and God's Natural Law.
That's a bizarre supposition. The Framers wanted the American people to have a President who was natural for them, but they knew they weren't qualified to determine what was natural themselves. So they deferred to God's Natural Law by simply using the word "natural".
That's just absurd to say that only God knows what is natural. Absurd and untrue.Supposedly, Blackstone defined Natural Born as simply being born within a territory. He was in error, however, because he was wrong to assume that he was qualified to determine what was natural. Humans did not create nature, God did. So only God knows what is natural.
It's our Constitution. The clause was writen and agreed upon for a reason and the clause "natural born Citizen" replaced the original wording of "born Citizen" for a reason. No, "clause" makes it a legal term. There is nothing natural about a clause.
Pennmark is stating that a man made law can not change what is 'natural'.I'm sorry - it's just stupid to say that man cannot define the word "natural". He has defined it in many contexts, time and time again so to say he can't defies the reality of what has been done.
I find those who hold that the 'supposition' bizarre to be holding a position even more "bizarre. Maybe even foreign and alien to this nation. That's a bizarre supposition.
So sad to see this written. I used to hold out hope the not all Uni's were anti-God and really no different than Atheists. Man only knows what he 'thinks' is natural and a lot of Men reckognize that man made laws can not change what is natural by God's law. However, one day all these questions and more will be understood. That's just absurd to say that only God knows what is natural. Absurd and untrue.

But it says nothing about being naturally conceived. It's natural born. But you may have a point. C-section? No president for you!I figured it out, the reason they changed it from "born Citizen" to "natural born citizen" is so that we can't elect a person whose parents used IVF to conceive them as president.
