I've done a little research on Chester Arthur. His Father was a British subject when little Chester was born. He lied about his family's past in order to gain the Vice-Presidential nomination. He never would have been allowed on the ticket if the public knew the truth.

No, I'm citing natural law, the Holy Bible, and some logic. It's only logical that if God rewards Fathers with children, he would want Fathers to be able to raise their children. A Father could not properly raise his children and enjoy his reward if his children were not citizens of his country.

So I guess the important word in the above would be: "No" because everything after it is just your opinion then.

I wouldn't doubt if non-natural born Presidents have slipped through the cracks before. I don't know anything about Andrew Jackson's parents, although if they were immigrants they must have became American citizens. Obama's Dad chose not to become an American citizen.

I know some people are worried that this issue would throw the USA into a constitutional crisis, but because we have had non-natural born Presidents in the past, it shouldn't be that severe a problem. Obama should be prevented from running for re-election, however. Its like the old saying: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

All of this enables us to create a Bible-conscious definition of what a Natural Born Citizen is in respect to the Presidency. There are three basic requirements:

1) He must have an American father.
2) His father must teach him to defend America.
3) He must be someone the American People can call a brother.

..... When we view the natural born requirement within the context of God's Natural Law, however, it suddenly begins to make a whole lot of sense. We all know that sons look up to their fathers. If a boy is taught by his father to defend his country, what is that young man going to do when he grows up to become President?

I know the biblical definition would be distasteful to many. But if we want to elect a President who is a natural born leader, someone we can trust to love and fight for us, we shold abide by God's Natural Laws rather than our own. The laws of God are more natural than the laws of men. When it comes to defining what is natural, God knows better than us. He is "Nature's God" after all.

When you are born, you naturally belong with your Father, living in your Father's country. Naturally speaking, a Wife belongs with her Husband, living in her Husband's country. Children must be natural born citizens of their Father's country, because the nuclear family is not possible if that is not true.

uhmmm...you haven't demonstrated there needed to be a crack to slip through. So far the only one who believes this is viable is, well there's maybe you, but that's it.

The man who is married to your mother isn't necessarily your father. Which is why descent is more accurately determined through your mother.

Barrack Obama is the 7th president to have one or more parents born outside the country - so why has it taken 235 years and 46 presidents before the issue of "natural born" presidents suddenly became a problem?

The real question is what is there about Barrack Obama that would separate him from these 6 presidents!
