Nope, i live in Newtown. Ya, stepney babtist is in a part of monroe, called STEPNEY, lol.WashedClean said:I don't know ablikespaintball. My in-laws, husband and whole family is Catholic and I really doubt their salvation. Of course, only God knows their hearts, but my heart aches for them to know Jesus. I've tried to share with them my beliefs. They listen, but it's like they're brainwashed or something. Very frustrating.
AB - are you in Monroe? I see that you are from Stepney, which I believe is in Monroe. We had a huge ingathering yesterday for my church and they told us less than 1% of the churches in New England are Evangelical!! What a scary statistic!
Hope you're having a nice evening...
I went to black rock for about a month, it was just too big for us. It just didn't work out. You should come to stepney some day! The worship is held by the youth and we have a lot of fun.WashedClean said:Hi RWL,
I attend Black Rock Congregational Church in Fairfield. It's Evangelical and I love it. We are growing like you wouldn't believe. We have a lot of people attend from Trumbull. In fact, I just learned that every week, some people come all the way from Rhode Island to attend our church!
However, in general, it's a fact that the Northeast is not known for having strong Christian churches. I work in a company of about 30 people, and I believe I'm the only Christian. It seems like the more wealthy towns are the worst. Funny, isn't it? The more God blesses people, the less they recognize it!
I'm not judging because just a few short years ago, that was me. My point is that it's difficult to live in this area from a Christian perspective because there are not too many believers outside the church that I get to interact with. Which in a way is positive because I can let my light shine in a dark world. But it's also a challenge for me not to get pulled into the world. Am I making any sense at all???:o
Anyway, I hope you have a very Happy Thanksgiving filled with God's blessings!![]()
