I missed a lot of this some how. INteresting stuff. The only thing I disagree with in regards to the western view is how boxy it is. None of the actual beliefs (transubstantiation and the subtler points) offend me, it just doesnt need to be so "this way or the high way" because clearly the early Church wasn't that way about it as is being well exposed by this imformative discussion.
