Well, I believe in Jesus and know he died on the cross and forgave my sins ans was baptized but, is there a chance that if you don't believe "enough" you can still be sent to hell.
I've also read a few different verses and am not sure what is required to be saved lately.
Mark 16:16- Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
I couldn't find the others i was looking for but one says you need to speak for the Lord and believe to be saved... etc.
So, how do we know exactly what it takes to be saved if it says you need to do different things throughout the Bible?
Did they have to be baptized because the holy spirit had not yet come?
Thanks,
Chilaha

There are only two distinction in the Bible on how to be saved, wait there are three. The first is the old testament way, follow the laws and if you fail go to the temple and make an offering to The Lord. The second is, you need to understand the law to be condemned. There is an age of accountability. The third one is most relevant to this question. How do we get saved on our age and in the times after the Cross? You truly repent of your sins, you give over your life and all your sins to Him and you're saved, it's as simple as that. No that does not mean you can just go on sinning and enjoy that lifestyle as if nothing changed, that would illustrate that your repentance was false, and in fact you are not saved, but it does mean that once you fall you know you can call on His grace to bring you back. As for baptism needed for salvation? Personally I don't see in scripture that that is the case. It is an important step in obedience to Him, and it helps put your mind at ease, that is why it exists, which is also why infant baptism isn't the right way, people tend to forget that the covenant we become part of in Christ is one that we enter through faith, and not through birth. Besides adding baptism to our salvation means we start believing in works based salvation, and scripture is clear that salvation is only through Faith, not through works so no man can boast. I sincerely hope this answers your questions, may God Bless you.
