The world of the Conflict RPG can be considered a global metropolis. If cities that we know of are known as "concrete jungles", then this "city" which is divided into districts spanning most of the planet, is what you could call a "silicone jungle". Everything imaginable is somehow linked to technology, electronics, and electricity. Gone are the days of escaping technology. It has become so ingrained in what is life, to many of the citizens of this great city, called Renesia, technology IS life. Everything is controlled by systems and specifically coded for maximum pleasure and prosperity of all. Unbeknownst to the people of Renesia, all is not well. Without their knowledge, a virus has invaded some of the systems that run the tidy little planet. If these systems crash, this thriving people will be plunged into poverty and social unrest. What will become of Renesia? Will the systems and networks be restored, or will a new order have to be established? The race against realtime cyberterrorism and virtual space begins now.

Be descriptive in your posts with regard to setting in time and space, conditions of the area, and your character(s).
Play-by-Post--Poster A, post, then wait for Poster B!
Control--Only minimally control other players' characters unless you are granted control or the character is decidedly abandoned.

Geography and News Lesson: Renesia, Its Districts, and The Explosion of Newton

Renesia is called "The Great City" by the authorities, but in reality, it is an entire planet. Renesia is divided into many districts named after prolific people of days long past and pioneers in philosophy, government, and of course, advancement, that is, the development of technology. Many districts of Renesia are, in fact, metropolized, and very dependent upon technology. A few districts, however, are known as the "rustics" and have minimal technological intervention. These districts are often known as "wilderness". While electrical fields and energies are found in some of these districts, in a couple, there is absolutely none. In one of these, most citizens of Renesia would be sickened with fear and confusion. There are some, however, as with every society, that are a bit peculiar. They still use traditional books, the paper-bound coda that were used by people of Time Long Ago. These peculiar people understand the workings of life without such heavy technological intervention. They theoretically would be able to survive in these districts without an issue, however, only a few do. It is not very convenient to be completely independent of the rest of society for resources in such a world as Renesia. Most of these "peculiars" just live with a disconnect to some of the technologies while doing their best to make a living and be happy.
News
Recently, an entire district of The Great City, known as Newton, was destroyed in a catastrophic explosion. Many resources were lost, and many people perished. Only a few are known to have survived, but some were not recovered from the wreckage and are labeled as dead or missing. The cause of the explosion is being investigated by the Renesian Honor Corps.

JLT, if you've played Final fantasy 7, it's a lot like Midgar, only it's full-planet. The "wilderness" in Renesia is analogous to the slums in FF7.

Okay, I looked up Coruscant, and yes it is similar to Renesia. Bear in mind, the nature of tech is probably different.
