I was referring to the actual meaning of creationism:
cre·a·tion·ism

\-shə-ˌni-zəm\
noun

: the belief that God created all things out of nothing as described in the Bible and that therefore the theory of evolution is incorrect
From Miriam online
Full Definition
:a doctrine or theory holding that matter, the various forms of life, and the world were created by God out of nothing and usually in the way described in Genesis

I'm not sure, but it seems like you're equivocating. That is the definition I have been using throughout.

Go back to comment 237 & 238 and you will see that you were not talking about creationism but you were narrowing in on old age creationism only.

I've been talking about biblical Creationism, even according to your own definition. Stop equivocating.

I've been talking about biblical Creationism, even according to your own definition. Stop equivocating.

For starters, the definition of creationism was not the purpose of my response. It seems it was but a mere attempt at trying to prove something on your end... What you are attempting to prove has yet to be seen.
Second, as my own definition, is that to be a Christian you have to believe in creationism because, if you look at the full definition of creationism it says a belief in everything created by another-look back to what I posted if you care to see- supernatural being, often (does not say always) according to Genesis. You can not be a Christian if you do not believe you were created by God. Point blank. End of story. What i have been saying all along. But that was not even my point, only a mere fraction of a post where I was making a point but the rest was ignored. Truth always reveals itself my friend.
Third: Scientific creationism, which is creationism, is creationism that allows room for science. Creationism. Because your use of the word is Limited to old age creationism does not mean the world is limited as such. Creationism is a broad term in which many ideas are kept, but the common idea is that there was/is a creator.
Fourth: This has been back and forth for pages now, about the meaning of creationism. I have given several definitions and still there continues to be disagreement for what purpose? Because of what? We are stuck on the meaning of creationism, although it has been established repeatedly, for what reason? Break down this post in small sections, dissect it and read into what is not there. Have the last word. The truth has been revealed. Only someone looking to disagree would find fault in what i have said, unless you disagree with my initial statement to which you have a right. I have repeatedly tried to get you to see that you are stretching for reasons to disagree and still it continues so I bow out, for good now.
In the future I pray we can discuss things without going in circles, my head is spinning.

You are equivocating terms. I'll agree that the notion of creation is essential to Christianity, in the sense that Christians envision God as a Creator. But that is not what we are talking about when we talk about Creationism and the overwhelming rejection of Creationism in the scientific community. Creationism, the belief that God created everything in 6 literal days as described in Genesis, is what we are talking about. That belief is not shared by all Christians.

Third: Scientific creationism, which is creationism, is creationism that allows room for science. Creationism. Because your use of the word is Limited to old age creationism does not mean the world is limited as such. Creationism is a broad term in which many ideas are kept, but the common idea is that there was/is a creator.

It's clearly broad enough to allow you to equivocate.

We are quibbling over the definition of it because you are equivocating. Pick the meaning you intend to use and stay consistent.

For starters, the definition of creationism was not the purpose of my response. It seems it was but a mere attempt at trying to prove something on your end... What you are attempting to prove has yet to be seen.

The problem is that you are bouncing between two very different definitions, depending on what definition you need at the moment. That makes a discussion difficult at times.

Second, as my own definition, is that to be a Christian you have to believe in creationism because, if you look at the full definition of creationism it says a belief in everything created by another

That's the problem. That is not the full definition.

"a doctrine or theory holding that matter, the various forms of life, and the world were created by God out of nothing and usually in the way described in Genesis"

That is the full definition. Not all christians think that God created in this manner, so they are not creationists, but they are still christians.

In a previous post, you tried to claim that only a small percentage of scientists were creationists. The definition of creationist in that post was anti-evolution, young earth creationism.

All we ask is that you pick a definition, and stick with it.

Third: Scientific creationism, which is creationism, is creationism that allows room for science. Creationism.

No, it doesn't. It rejects science. If it accepted science, then the evolution of all life from a universally shared common acestor would be a part of it. It isn't.
