I'm sorry, Ruth. It's so hard when we lose a pet.

I know how awful I would feel if I lost my dog....so my heart does go out.
It truly is like losing a loved one......
I'll pray that it gets better for you!

We had a dog, she was 18, when she passed away. My DH and I were talking about taking her to our vet to be put to sleep when I found her. We then had to put our other dog to sleep a few months later, she just turned 15. She had gone deaf and her eyes had developed cataracts. Her poor little eyes were all clouded over. She also had arthritis really bad. My kids were very sad, but I cried for weeks (so did my DH). He had our oldest dog when we first started dating and I got our other dog shortly after that. It was so heartbreaking. I still comment on how much I miss them. It's been about 4 years since they both passed away, a couple of months between both of their passing.

I'm sorry if I made anyone sad by sharing that.
