I would like to apologize to everyone for my rant of last evening. I'm going through a particularly difficult time in my life and unfortunately, I took it out on everyone here. I'm sorry.
Celine, please accept my personal apology to you. I jumped on your posts in an unacceptable manner. Please forgive me.
Now to answer some particular posts.

<snip>The only question I would have is this what if it were a respectable evangelist that you Sister were listening to, would you still be upset about it?
No, not at all. In fact, the pastor of my sister's church is a man I admire and respect. He had done many, many things to help both of my sisters and other members of my family. His knowledge of the Bible is absolutely astounding. He reads both Greek and Hebrew. He and I have an on-going e-mail correspondence as I continue to study Bible history. Not to mention, he is a genuinely nice and kind man. My sister has attended several Billy Graham crusades, and I've no issue with those.

I must ask the same as SLS. In all love if this question offends you then please disregard it.
I just wonder if you back up her faith or reject it?
While I personally do not believe, I do not argue with any one in my family about their faith. I don't push them to reject it. In fact, the only time I discuss religion with my family members is if one of them brings it up. I am honest and open about my non-belief, but I don't proseltyze.
On the other hand, though many people may find this puzzling, my sister and I do study the Bible together. Right now, we are reading through the Book of Jeremiah together and having weekly discussions about what we are reading.

Do you consider her faith a threat?
No, not at all. Her faith is a major component of who she is. Her faith has carried her through dark and tragic times. Her faith gives her joy. It is no threat to me at all.

Once again I ask these things in curiosity and love, take no offense to my asking and if I am crossing a boarder line into your person business then let me know and my curiosity will be fulfilled.
No offense taken. I'm over my snit.

<snip> My point is, for your own education and opinion on anything in the future, learn first hand. In this I mean, try watching Benny Henn or any other controversial minister for yourself. Drawing conclusions from second and or third party views is utterly ignorant in the utmost sense. I wrote my opinion from the bible and not what people have said "hear say".
Actually, I did that. I've watched many hours of Benny Hinn as well as other TV evangelists. Many hours. And that is why I was initially concerned when my sister started talking about going to one of his revivals. Before I spoke with her about it, I also did quite a bit of research on the web. Another thing I did, other than coming in here to pose my questions to believers, is I talked with my Christian friends in person and on the phone. I also raised the issue in a Christian chat room which I regularly attend. I don't have a tendency to interfere at all in what my sister does. In fact, this is the first time I've ever raised a concern with her about something to do with her faith.
Be well all.
